You load 30 of each component into the input hopper and let it run.

When its done you add 30 more, when its down you will have a crate with 50 and 1 with 10, works for me.

Well you put in the crates and resources and hope it works.

Last night I managed to produce 97 Stim B using mixed crate sizes and the other day I made just 50.

Some days I can't get the factory to pull from crates.

Factory ingredient hoppers only hold 100 items, so the biggest crate of stims/woundpacks you can make w/o crates is 30 or so. how do you get the factory to use the crated comps so you can make 50 count crates?

HAH! factories are borked.. you don't until they fix them..

The other day I started my factory with the input hopper open and watched it for a bit. (Yes, it was a slow day).

Here's something interesting - for the first component, it was pulling items from the first crate, which was what you would expect. For the second component, however, it was ALTERNATING crates! (I had two crates for the same component, and it would pull first from the one, then from the other).

I think this is why people say that you have to have two crates for it to pull from crates. For some reason, it's alternating crates, and if the second crate isn't there, it decides it's out of materials and stops.

Now this is only one of the many things odd with factories, but I've had good success with getting it to pull crated components as long as I use two crates of equal numbers of components.

I'm lucky if I can get the factory to pull individual components let alone crated ones.

I usually put at least 4-5 crates of each component in and itwill run until there is just 1 crate left of one of the components. Then I take those out of the crate and put them in the factory individually
