Some of them are pretty easy. Dometicated Oats. You can find that on just about any planet at any time. Finding the GOOD stuff may be another matter entirely, though.

Ok, maybe threast aren't necessarily EASY depedning on how well you can thread through a ton of aggro mobs. Lokian Wild Wheat: It's on Lok. Dantiooine Berries: Dantooine. Tatooinian Fiberplast: Tatooine. Talusian Water Vapor: Talus.

The toughest ones are the just plan rare resources that in some cases may not exist on ANY plaent in the Galaxy at times. Class 4 Liquid Petro Fuel and Dolovite Iron, for example.

Your best bet on those is to keep artisan and a set of full survey tools. Then you can check daily on yoru own planet and on any planets you ahppen to visit or pass through to see if they have any of these things.

Find other Doctors out there willing to trade information. For example, if you are based on Talus and you know another Doc on Tattooine. See about trading information on the current state of Talusian Water and Tattoinian Fiberplast. Let each other know if you happen to find some Dolovite Iron on your travels, and so on. Many servers do not have enough Medical Professionals to be truly competetive with each other as long as they are willing to find their market. So sharing of this kind of information is less of giving a leg up to a potential competitor and far more of a helping out your fellow healer.

Getting all the resources you need to make advanced components can seem a bit overwhelming at first especially given the cost that can be associated with getting the ingredients.

I'd recommend trying to find another medic on your server that also needs those ingredients and work out a deal to trade one for one advanced ingredients.For example, one of you would get talusian water while the other focused on dantooine berries. You split up the harvesting effort and save you both time, money and sanity points.

Your other option, if you lack Artisan, is to find a miner out there that is willing to go get this stuff for you. You'll have to pay, of course. However, you won't have to spend all that annoying time waiting on shuttles, chasing harvest spawn or dealing with maintenance/power.

What I'm doing is going in league with a few other people. I'm on Dantooine gathering berries. Another guy is heading to Lok for some Wild wheat. We will swap 1 unit of wheat for one unit of berries. Cheaper then paying 5+ credits a unit from the resellers. I'll probably head off to Yavin as well for some Fiberplast. The core planets aren't such a big deal it's the resources that have to come from the hard to survive planets that are the expensive ones.

Well that and the rarely found ones like Class 4 petro.

Even though Class 4 Liquid PetroChem is rare, i find it harder to find good quaility Herbiovre meat. Also needed for Adv. CDRM. Sometimes, i have to search the bazaars on ENTIRE GALAXY, just to see if theres anything good, then hire Scouts/rangers to hunt there for me. Plus needing 16 count of meat for one Adv CDRM, usually turn people away from using them. But it seems just using Adv BEC and Adv LS makes pretty good medicine.

Hey i have been making stim d's that heal for about 582 just with normalcomponents, i have even had an amazing result that ended up closer to 620. I would like to start using advanced components but its a little to expensive. but i can still sell my stims at over 900-1100 a peice. Just use whatever is available to you untill you have saved enough cash to by bulk amounts of whatever you need the most. It could be a slow process but its works for me.

As the question states- what do you find to be the best method of getting the resources you need? I currently am just starting to need more advancced items, and I can't figure out where I should start.

Search the bazaar, entire galaxy. Try finding petro 4 or dolovite iron if you have to fly to another planet to pick it up.

I'm a combat guy so I can get money pretty easy just off of missions so this helps. I spent 29K on petro 4 when I couldnt find any dol iron, that got me 2700 petro 4 and i'm splitting to make my money back because i'm gangster like that.

I have made a business of harvesting and selling these components. Originally I got into it to get my own, but then I had people asking to buy my extras.

I now have 3 heavy flora's on Lok, 2 Heavy waters on Talus, 3 Deep Crust chems on tat(two for class four, the other for fibro), 2 heavy flora's on Dant, a heavy flora on nice oats and a 2 heavy on a Dolovite deposit.

Business has boomed and I supply most of the large stim makers on Ahazi. I am the only person doing this on my server, and it is hard to keep up with business. Give it a try.

Warning: Clone on Lok, Talus, Yavin, Dant...cause you only get one burst run This is an incredible amount of work everynight. It was very slow going in the beginning, but one I could afford heavy harveys things really started moving.
