Shadowfire being a relatively new server has taken a while to get to where some droid engineers could make some very nice Medic Droids. Being a Doctor I don't make lots of money but I wanted a good droid pretty bad so I helped a guy do some experimenting for a spell until he was finally able to make me a real nice droid. I got a R2 model with a 28 rating crafting station and 110 medical and loved this guy. I was able to wonder town and such healing people and having a much funner time than ever in a hospital.

Last night I had just finished a round in town and I stepped in to the Cantina to heal some people up in Anchorhead (Cantina there is also the hospital).

A guy named Rendar in full trouper armor asked me if I could heal him. I told him I sure would after I finished the person I was healing. As soon as I sent this he starts attacking my R2 droid. I am confused about this because this guy was blue to me and I was not overt I was covert. Long story short he killed my droid at which time the people in the cantina attacked and killed him. He then starts sending me tells taunting me about the fact that he killed my Droid.

I have met some pretty rude people in this game and I have never let them get to me, I just ignore and continue on and have fun but this "To Me" is just plain low down rotten! To kill a medics droid is really uncalled for I think. It would be different if the base were under attack and I was out healing people with my droid out (in this case I would feel that it was my own stupid fault and move on) but there was no raid or attack going on and All I was doing was healing people ((((ALL PEOPLE))).

Please if you are on Shadowfire and you are a medic do not heal this person.

Yes Elrod - Rendar is just one of your typical griefing wankers that plaugue every online game.

I have already added that person to ignore for other crap.

That's just rotten. I'm not on Shadowfire, but I really feel for you.

If I understand it, a med droid doesn't help any when you're in the med center. Med center is optimum for healing wounds, med droids let you heal wounds at a reduced rate in the field.

I'm sorry some jerk shot your droid. Good luck and I hope you continue to enjoy yourself despite that.

He would be blue until he attacked you and then he'd turn red. If you have your droid out in combat, you deserve to lose it. However, this guy wasn't in combat - he was healing.

I say bad form on the part of the droid-killer. Not game-stopping or an exploit, just bad form.

Currently droids deployed by Covert people are overt (and NPC's so are attackable by opposite coverts)... TEF rules only protect PC's =/

I tend to always be ready to store my droid... people do this all the time.

personally i never use my droid unless im alone and covert...

i have personally disposed of 5 droids already in game...

it sucks the droid rules are stupid...pets never die but droids do..

cant really do much...its "working as intended"

but i did notice umade an error...

1) the guy u healed was obviously a imperialsince he wasinstormtrooper armor...

2) if he could attack ur droid, he was either TEF or overt imperial...

3) if he was tef covert or overt then you should have realized when u looked at his name...there should have been a imperial symbol next to his name...

4) if he was TEF or overt imperial, then u should have never taken out ur droid because you could not heal him anyways. because as a covert rebel u can not heal overt imperials or tef imperials...

so while it was poor form on the killers part

there was also an error on your part...

until TEF warnings are in game, healers need to be aware at all times whos around and who they are healing...

so i applaud your attempt to heal all players but you have to simply realize that you cannot because of the way faction healing working ingame...welcome to the GCW...

Oh that is so wrong ... Man, if the rez pack bug were still around, I'd tell every medic to stalk him and "rez" him when he's fighting mobs.

Nope, his 110% droid actually healed BETTER than a med center. Poor little droid.

Sorry to hear that you got griefed like that. I really hope they improve TEFs so that you at least know when you have one, so that you can be on your toes. Fine, don't give me a countdown (although that's what I'd like). Just give me a state that says I have a TEF. Doesn't seem like it'd be that hard for the devs to do.
