Thread: All I want to do is buff...

Hey everyone! I'd like to pick up doctor, for nothing more than decent stim usage and the ability to buff my friends and I. I don't plan on trying to make any money off of buff lines and what not, I just want enough boxes in doctor to buff around 2K if possible without mastering.

I was thinking something along the lines of 0-2-4-0 would do the trick (will that provide a high enough medicine use skill level to use halfway decent buffs?), but I'm a total noobler when it comes to medic/doctoring, so if anyone could put me on the right track, I'd appreciate it

Thanks in advance!

That will allow you to use slightly experimented down enhance D packs, but you aint gonna get anywhere near 2k buffs.

Oh, OK, so it won't be possible. Oh well.

What do Enhance C Packs normally hit for?

Who knows... noone makes them. Ok well maybe 1 person somewhere does. Maybe you missed my point. Even if you didn't have to use experimented down enhance D's, you still aren't getting anywhere near 2k. It's not medicine usage that determines the strength of the buff, it's wound treatment. at x2xx you really don't have much wound treatmeant skill at all. There is a formula in one of the sticky posts that will help you work it out. I'm a fraction too busy to go working it out for you right now.

Nope, didn't miss your point. Was pretty sure my reply made that clear.

And thanks for being so polite about it.

Ok I couldn't help it I just had to. Here is the formula. Plug is some values and play

Total Buff Power

Heal Power of Pack x Environment x [(100 + Wound Treatment Skill + Bivoli + BE modded clothes) / 100] x Med City Bonus

for example:
900 Heal Power Buff pack
110 Med Module Droid
100 Master Doctor Skill
25 Bivoli
25 BE clothes
10% Medical City Specialization Bonus

900 x 1.1 x [(100+100+25+25)/100] x 1.1 = 2722 total buff

0340 with BE clothes and bivoli will do ok. 0440 is better.

I currently live in a Medical Center city and my 0440 doc with good packs, BE clothes +25, bivoli, and the city bonus hits 2360 or so. Masters hit 2650-2750.

2360 is good enough for me. I've never died in PVP from health or action when buffed, and they're overkill for PVE.

Well, thanks for all the help guys.

Hell, I might just master the profession anyways. I guess I'll try heading up to 0-4-4-0 and see where it goes from there. If I can hit buffs around 1500 I would be happy

Again, thanks a lot.
