I've just recently reacquired doctor and am looking for suggestions/aid in how you set up your hotkeys. Primarily want to know how everyone sets up their healstates and such. Any good advice is appreciated.

I've seen people bind just one key to cycle through everything, but i still just have a few macro keys I use.
just make macros of
/curePoison self
/cureDisease self
/extinguishFire self
/firstaid self
/healState self
/healdamage self
and then drag those macro's onto your top toolbar. If you are using these for pvp or high level mobs you will want to add /ui action clearCombatQueue (i think that's what it is) and it will clear everything and cure/heal you right away.
hope thats what you're looking for.

That list above is exactly what I do in one button except I have /healstates before /firstaid and do not have /healdamage on the same button.

/ui action clearCombatQueue;
Is your friend. I've replaced all my doctors skills with macros that have this as the first line.
Example:
/ui action clearCombatQueue;
/extinguishfire

Mine are a little different:
/peace;
/target self;
/curepoison;
same for fire and disease.
and for states i have this:
1 for dizzy:
/stand;
/healstate dizzy self;
(spam it like you never spammed before till you get up
)
for the other states:
/peace;
/healstate intimidate;
/healstate stun;
/healstate blind;
The last macro works like this: If you're intimidated it will heal the intimidate, if you're not.. it'll move on to 'stun' and so on

Spamming it makes no difference, because the latency between you and the server (however minor) will negate the effect of mashing the hotkey. You just need to press it a few times.

Instead of /peace, you are far better off using /ui action clearCombatQueue

I like /peace better cuz..
I delay them, heal states and switch weapons if neccesary. As you all know, you don't get the 5 second delay if you use /peace
I didn't say that

Excuse me but im a newb Doc. So correct me if im wrong. If I macro all the heal commands then I won't have to push (the cure poisin hotkey) when I get poisined as and example?

Yeap..just was curious how the expert docs have it set up. Very educational.
