Most of us AFK grinded our medical experience on AFK tumblers because it was convienent. It takes about a night or healing and training to master the med EXP side. Crafting is a different story as you MUST be at the keyboard.
Here is my macro (given to me by Nikki, another guild doctor)
First thing you need will be four to six food and chemical crafting devices. These are made by artisans (i think) and can be found in any red terminal bazaar. Try your servers busiest area (Coronet) or hop on one and do a galaxywide search. They will vary from 13 to 15% (which is the highest I believe)...keep the 15% ones if you can find them.
Next thing you will need is Tattooine Fiber Plast. About 12k or it...I thin I got 18k of it. Its name is aroofu or something like that. It must be Tatooine fiberplast, as you will be constructing ABECs. This is easy to find. Again check the Red Terminal bazaars, there is always some on there.
The hard to find ingredient is Lokian Wild Wheat. NOT domesticated. There are a few types of Lok Wild wheat I believe so any will do (again, not Domestiated). I couldnt find any of this on the galaxy bazaars so I had to do the ever popular /vendor search on CRTL-V. You never know if a vendor that says "Slappys MED grind resources" actually has it, or has furniture on it for some reason /boggle. People drop professions left and right so it will take a while to find a vendor. Try your local mall. I ended up paying 60k for 45k worth of material....it wasnt even good wheat but I couldnt find anything else. Another option is to ask (politely) another Master Doc if you could buy some of his crappy Lok Wheat (as we usually have some in stock somewhere in some backpack).
Ok, now to the macro.
Again, you will be making ABECs will are like 88 crafting exp a pop.
Start by putting each crafting station in its own slot. Drag down your hotkeys so you have two rows. Put them in the BOTTOM rows. Think of it like your "function" keys on your keyboard....so beneath the F1 buttons you have a station, beneath the F2 button you have a station, etc. When writing the macro the F1 button is called 00 NOT 01 for some reason....remember this
Next open up your macros. Hit the "nex macro" button. This must be typed EXACTLY as it is shown. Here is your first macro.
/ui action toolbarSlot12;
/selectDfaftSchematic 09;
/pause 4;
/nextC;
/nextC;
/nextC;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/createPrototype practice no item;
Remember...the draft chematic of the ABEC is usually number 9. Just double check, you should be ok though. And YES those are SEMI-COLONS, and they must be there, as well as the capital letters AND spaces. What that macro does is the following. It activates your tool bar slot under your F1 key (which is occupied by a food and chemical crafting station), it next selects a draft schematic. Default ABEC is number 09 for most people. It then PAUSES 4 SECONDS. In this time you MUST double click on your resources...you will see the screen open up. So double left click your mouse on your Fiberplast, and your wheat. The "nextC;" are just the macro going to the next screen. It finally creates a prototype PRACTICE item. Obviously, if it wasnt practice your backpack would be filled with ABECS. Now the pause is four seconds and CAN be adjusted for your personal lag....basicall three is about the fastest you want to take it.
Okay, so for each crafting tool you have and want to use, you need to make a seperate macro. Type everything the same way EXCEPT your action toolbarSlot will be a higher number. Under the F2 button it is it be 13, under F3 it will be 14...etc. I named my macros Craft1, Craft2, Craft3, etc....and used the same icon for each.
Ok so after you write all your crafting macros you need a master macro to activate all your crafting macros. Remember it takes like 29 seconds to actually make an ABEC once you are done crafting it....so while you can fill up your bars with tools, anything over 6 is overkill unless you have serious lag problems.
Here is you Master Macro. Name it Master (for example). It will end up looking like this.
/macro Craft1;
/pause 8;
/macro Craft2;
/pause 8;
/macro Craft3;
/pause 8;
/macro Craft4;
/pause 8;
/macro Craft5;
/macro Master;
Again, those are semi-colons. Whatever you name you macros, it must be typed the EXACT same. Basically what this does is activates your Craft1 macro which in turn activates your crafting station. You will have 8 seconds to complete your first ABEC before the second crafting station is activated. So lag will be an issue as you cannot have two crafting sessions open at once. You may adjust any pause time in any macro to suit your style. It will activate each crafting macro then at the end it will loop itself and re activate the first crafting station....so you need to have the first item completed before it recycles itself, otherwise you will get an error screen.
Also to STOP any looped macros you need to type
/dump
This will stop any and all macros that are running. Unless you are a VERY fast typer (I am) it would be wise to actually make a /dump macro. This is an easy one. Just make a macro entitled Dump, then in the box type
/dump
Put it in you F12 button...so anytime you get overwhelmed or screw up just press F12.
A couple things to remember. Lag is an issue here, so dont craft in coronet. Go to a City that is a research center...it doesnt really matter but the less lag the better. You dont need your driod out so stand near a Food and Chem crafting station...should be one in any hospital.
Have NO OTHER RESOURCES in your primary backpack as it will make it easier for you to double click the ones you need (there are only two remember?).
Also you will not get any message saying you received xxx amount of rafting experience, but it IS registering. Just make sure to train after each leveling up, that way you dont waste time crafting when you are maxed out in EXP.
Dont worry if you mess up or leave a crafting session blank, just wait until the next one. Its in a loop remember?
So grab enough resources (about 14k of each) and see how FAST you can craft. My personal best (late in the morning with little lag) was getting 6 crafting stations going with very little pause time.....carpel tunnel syndrome indeed.
Also there is no ingame method of selecting resources....believe me I tried everything. There are third party macro-systems that will move your mouse cursor BUT you can and will be banned by using them. Personally, I dont see what the big deal is but its their game and their rules so I follow them.
Oh, its very hard to do other things while you are double clicking.....eating, guildchat....try it out...fun stuff.
Now although this only gets you like 88 crafting exp per combine, it will add up fast. If you are a macro junkie you can always try to set up macros that create things from the stuff you already created. I havent done this but it IS possible and you will get more EX and level faster, the downside being you need more resoources and time involved and it really isnt worth it in the long run.
Have fun
