Hello,

I have 47 Points to use on Doc skills.

I am considering 4430 or 3440.

I want to be as capable of a Doc as possible but I understand I will need to buy my meds from someone else.

Any input is appreciated, Thank You!

With 4430 you can cure disease and poison plus revive players, but cannot apply d-buffs.

With 3440 you can cure poison plus revive players and apply (downgraded) d-buffs.

The choice is yours really, if you are a TKM you can cover cures with the meditation line easily. Myself, I'd probably go for 3440 for the buffs or 0440 straight and invest the remainder in another line.

You will have 90 med use skill and wound treatment 75. Usually d-buffs require a med use skill of 93ish, which means that the doc you buy the buffs from needs to experiment the buff packs down to 90 which makes them slightly weaker than 93 use packs. Also, your wound treatment will influence the buff power slightly too since you have 25 less than a MD.

The loss won't be huge however but since I have no experience with the exact % of the buff strength you losemaybe someone with more knowledge in this field can answer that particular part.

Also, when you buff, make sure you use a med droid and appropriate food.

If that is what you narrowed it to then ask yourself what is more important:

Buffs or disease cure?

With 3440 you can buff in the 2000-2200 range but not cure disease. With 4430 you can cure disease and you can buff in the 1600 range (maybe?) if you can find buffs that low med use that powerful.....You'll probably have to get a doc to make them special for you since isn't a common item people buy..

Both options allow for state cures, poison cure, Rez, and use of fire blankets.

If I go 0440 can I still buff 2000+?

Can you get med. use skill tapes to increase your med use to 93? This would mean you can use full buff packs with only 0/2/4/0.

The med use skill tapes do not work for just the reason you are sugesting. The are just decoration. They do not work.
