Thread: Doctor Datapad Idea

Well, some are going to think I've watched too much Star Trek, but I really would love a tool (or something) that would allow me to diagnose, monitor, and administer medicine--all from a single screen. I started thinking, wouldn't it be great if medics/doctors had a special medical tab on their datapad. Here is a summary of how it would work:

  1. Target your patient.

  2. Pull up your datapad and click on the "medical" tab.

  3. If you have the appropriate skills, then the datapad would display the patient's stats, including HAM, HAM substats, BF, and states.

  4. If you have the appropriate medicines/packs, then you can administer them through buttons appearing next to the corresponding stats on you datapad. For example, if you have an action buff pack, then a button appears next to the action that would enable you to buff that stat.

  5. The datapad can also display a timer indicating the next time you can administer treatment.

  6. If you target another player, then the display would refresh automatically with that player's stats.

HaveI missed anything?

I've made a similiar suggestion but using the diagnose window, not too long ago:

1. Add a refresh button

2. Add buttons to enhance, heal, cure to each state

3. Add timer to each stat showing current buff status

4. Show patient's "actual" & "with buff" HAM status vs. current in diagnose window (This way you can tell whether or not you can buff over a certain stat, isn't of asking the patient how much longer they have left)

Basically, this would be a smaller versionof the character sheet (CTRL C) combined with the diagnose windowadding a few (16 .. lol) extra buttons and a timer.

I'll have to take a screenshot and play with paintshop to see if I can worksomething up, just to be clever I guess.

This has been wanted for a very long time.

Unfortunately this requires new content which we will emphatically not get.
