no no no don't tell him that texxie! Just be a healer... outside a med center rather than inside... but not at a starport... unless you have no morals...

Hi,
Congratulations on becomming a Doc. If you really like helping people, you can do like I do and run medical centers and heal the wounded. It's not lucrative, maybe you'll break even with your meds because tips are sometimes rare, but I find it's gratifying. I'm even starting to have a cool little repitation on my server.
If you want to make money, well, you buff. Usually, you can just walk around with your title and people will PST you for buffs. It's very boring but very lucrative. You can buy buffs pre-made that are nice and even and when you have great ressources, you can start to make your own and make more money. You'll also need avian meat and herbivore meat so if you have fighting/scout skills, you can go hunt for good quality meat. You'll need it for buff packs or advanced components. I have MasterDoctor and Master TK and i'll juggle novice scout and novice artisan depending if I'm going to hunt or going surveying for the harvesters.
So, when you feel like helping run around medical centers and when you need money, sit with your droid and buff.
I have also been asked to participate in hunting groups which I tough was cool. I got paid to be there and keep the people healed and revive when needed. It was a nice change of pace plus you can also fight at the same time.
