After playing doc and non-doctoons on different servers,I've noticed how in servers like Farstar's all docsprefer a banktip, wheras on Bria and Radiant its a cashtip.
When you banktip, it means you can leave your character within 7m from the doc, go make a coffee, grab a beer and when you come back you're buffed. When it's a cashtip you have to keep your place in the queue, watch out for players pushing in, then tip the doc amongst all the spam (Ibelieve there's ways to isolate tips amongst the spam for the docs but I've never tried). Personally banktips seem to make more sense, although I haven't buffed a line for quite some time.
I'm sure this has been dealt with before but I was wondering is it still mostly cashtip on the servers? It's not so much the style of payment that's the issue for me, but the need to queue in a line for 5 minutes, constantly shuffling along, when I could be pinching a loaf, crafting or doing something constructive with my time. After logging on, it takes about 10-15 minutes to get fully health/mind buffed before I even do anything so I prefer to go through this as easily as possible.
How do you buff on yours?

I'm on bria and when I buffed, I really didn't care. I would zoom the camera out to see who was in line and would buff them in order of the line.
I changed my chat preferences to make the word "tip" red in spatial. Also, I set my system message duration to the maximum. This worked well and I never had a problem missing any cash tips.

Tempest does the lines thing but its both cash and bank tips. I know back when I buffed instead of selling buff packs, there was alot of problems (or alot of people who thought there were alot of problems) with people sending fake bank tips, so doctors required cash after that, but since they fixed the banktip from field, thats stopped.

Yep it's the line thing that's the issue I'm referring to rather than the payment method, I suppose you could let a doc know you were gonna cashtip him then send him a mail so he knows to include you in his/her bufflist.
It's funny how some players still try to send you the old fashioned fake banktip, it still happens even now
I just say to tip what you can afford, I still make ok cash but tend to forget to check, but average about 10k a buff even with no prices which more than covers my overheads.

On shadowfire it is still the old fashioned line. Some folks tried to switch to the easier banktip then stand around the doc, but its difficult to get people to change.

On radiant most docs don't care if its bank or regular tip. There are a few that demand bank tips, but its the regular long line at the starport thing. On sunrunner I think its kinda kewl how the bank tip thing makes the line and everyone just sits in a circle. I've been thinking about doing that when I go back to Radiant to buff.

Eclipse has died down a lot. We used to have 4 lines with 15 people deep. Now, if there are two docs, seems that one gets the line and the other seems to get none.

On Chimaera I've always preferred banktips. That way i can buff in order of my ingame mail - if ppl want to jump the queue they pay more but that very rarely happens.
Most of the doctors i see buffing on Chimaera use this system. I find it makes it easier if its busy.

I'm a MD on Bria. I get the line but accept both cash and banktip. I prefer bank as this is the easiest way to track and ensure payment. I have it in my ad that when I start buffing the player in front of you to go ahead and tip. This for the most part works and then when I'm done with that person I can immediately start on the next. I try to keep the line moving as that is my key goal. I know everyone wants to get through and out and I try to accomodate they. I have my buff macro also call out what who is getting buffed when it started and what part of the buff I'm on. With this everyone knows who and at what stage I'm at. Also I try to diagnose the next person behind my current patient to check them out. Some forget to check BF even though it's in the ad so I'll /tell them. I do not accept them back in line except at the end of the line. I had one guy a couple of nights ago that got mad at me becuase I would not let him back in line (500BF) after he got it healed. I also make sure to deposit all of my cash into the bank before I start. This helps to track the cash tips as I can easily watch it and see if it changes.

on valcyn it's the same, method of payment doesn't really matter, but wait till its ur turn. personally i can stand people who tip ahead of time, as far as i'm concerned, if they're waiting to be buffed, they can wait to pay me. also i prefer that way in case i get kicked off and that way i dont have to mess with too many logs trying to find out whoI owe money to and trying to pay them back, which has happened a couple of times.

Flurry is a line-based server, although the number of lines you see is way down since JTL. I suspect the combat revamp will bring people back down to the ground game.

On Chilastra I/we perfer the banktip method, i hate searching my spatial for who has and hasn't tipped, if you ask i accept cash if not you know the line
"stats/length - price... Bank tip sets line"
