Thread: Resist Packs, Does anyone have decent resources for C's?

On eclipse most of us crafting doctors are forced to using enhance resists B's instead of C's.


Most of the standard I've seenare 45mins to 1hr.. 200+ Resist power on B's. The one's I have stocked are 225 pwr 47 mins duration.


I made these with all 960+ OQ/PE/UT resources, so I think that's as good as they can get in terms of B's.. With ACRDM 66, ASDS 73 and 18/23 ABECs.


I'm not sure if it's worth my while to try to craft C's, but what doctors out there have decent C's?

Are C's even really necessary? With my 231 power Bs I almost never get poisoned. Especially since most PvP Combat Medics have only 4004 (I think, might be 0404) their meds are less likely to have a high enoughpotency to get over regular resist buffs, and the ones that do are usually much lower power and if it sticks you can easily cure it with one Area B.


I guess what I'm rambling about is that it's a lot of energy to put into a product which is already working effectively.

Actually, ease of use and potency are on the same experimental line, soa 4-0-0-4 CM is more likely than a master CM to be packing 200+ potency poisons.


At any rate, whether they're necessary or not depends on a lot of things, but here's an idea of what I can make...


Bs -- 215-218-ish, 3.4-3.6k duration. The only room for improvement is my creature resource as I recall -- the DR is only 850 or 880...


Cs -- 170-ish, 17-19 absorption, 2.4k duration... This is experimenting all 3 lines -- primarily abs. My max on that stat is 21 I think (out of 25 possible), which gives you an idea of the resources... My lokian bones aren't very good, and dylinium ore is worse, soboth poison and diseasesuffer somewhat. Now, I could also ignore the duration, which would probably bring it down to 1.8k, and bring the power up a bit, but then the possible uses start to be more limited -- you wouldn't get one on the way somewhere, for instance, with that short a duration...


In any case, if I were out there PvPing myself, I'd use Cs. I think they're powerful enough to be higher than the potency of mostplayer poisons on my server -- though not by much -- and the absorption is a pretty cool thing... In addition to the damage reduction, Absorption reduces the amount of poison there is when you apply a cure -- 19% becomes significant when someone has stacked 3 or 4 poisons on you...


They sell about the same, btw. Some people buy both.

If the resources needed for C's spawn with decent stats I highly recommend you harvest and craft them.


Reasons:

Better chance to have a higher effectiveness (still depends on the resources stats)

Better chance to have longer duration

ABSORBTION!!!


When poisons are experimented for potency the CM has to use up precious exp. points that would have normally gone into the poison/disease effectiveness either that or the subcomponent is experimented for potency instead of duration so the final combine will have a very short duration. Yeah it has a higher chance to break the resist but its also going to have an overall lower effectiveness and/or duration. Absorbtion comes into player here and while it isn't exactly game breaking it can and does help and reduces each tick.
