Hi all
I have been trying to learn some programming and the first program I came up with is a buff strength calculator thing for doctors
Im not sure if anyone can use a program like that at all, but anyway if someone finds it usefull they are welcome to try it, test it and come up with some idears of other functions I could put in it.
I know its not much yet and basicly it only calculates the strength and duration with the info from a buff pack
and I like it...
1.here is a screenshot http://www.vivaldi.dk/buffcalc.jpg
2. The program needs .net framework to run but that is on Windows update, so it should be ok for people who updates their computer
3. The program http://www.vivaldi.dk/SWG_Buff_Calculator.exe
4. If you want some special functions or another program like this for the game, pls tell me

It would be much better to provide something like this in Excel.
It would be so easy for somebody to put a trojan horse or keylogger in something like this.
I do not mean to bash the original author in any way, but people, please be careful running a .EXE file on your computer that was downloaded from a forum!!

Your right, but its still the best place to share it to the people who can use it. Just tried to make something usefull, but of course if anyone dosnt feel good by trying it its ok. And if devs want it removed ill do that also

Always a problem with executable files. I saw a few of thoses made from regular html documents. They probably aren't as nice, but it's safer.

I just remember a while back, a bunch of Jedis downloaded an application that was supposed to track Krayt spawns. Not long after they tried it, they found their login passwords did not work anymore, their in-game possessions were stolen, etc. While IMO they got what they deserved, it's an example of what can happen when running untrusted software on your computer.

Well if we cant trust anyone ever, then we might as well uninstall galaxies now.. Im sure there is more spyware stuff (and bugs) in the game than in my program lol
Cant say anything else than its a little help fomr some doctors when they dont have to use a webpage to calculate and Im sure it can be updated with more usefull stuff if people can trust it
