Thread: Zarlor: TC Verification Needed Please

I was hoping you had already tested this and I just missed it somewhere along my path away from healing and into TK, but perhaps it hasn't been discussed yet.

With the newdecay on death rules coming soon, I was wondering if the decay happens if a player is revived?

Is it truly on Death or is it on Cloning? If it is on Cloning, great. If it's on Death and a revive doesn't stem the decay, is there any chance this can get looked at to be changed?

I'd check into TC myself, but I don't have a MD there...your assistance in this would be greatly appreciated

I'd had some hardware progblems taht prevented me from logging into the game for over a week for a while there, and then recently after I got it fixed every time I tried to get onto TC it was down. Go figure.

I've been asking about this one, but of course I haven't gotten any responses so I'm just going to ahve to try to test it if I can ever find the time to get onto TC (Friday for sure, if nothing else!) Of course it also means I have to find a victi...err.. subject willing to die for me.

Hehe. Well I should be on most of the day Friday, likely around Theed, Naboo. Toon name is Zarlor, so it's easy enough to remember if you want to send me a tell if you can get on some time then. (What can I say, I have every Friday off... the joys of being a Government Contractor. )

As luck would have it, Z, I have Fridays off too

I'll start up a character on TC in Theed if possible. Probably make it easy for ya and just name him Texxie

Thank Zarlor it's finally fixed!

I was getting mighty tired of that.

Ok, after some testing and checking with folks on TC this morning here's what I've found so far.

Decay apparently does not affect meds or resources, only weapons, clothing and armor.

Decay does NOT occur on Resuscitation, thankfully.

My consern is : the Doc will be the only one to suffer decay in a group as he can't be revived. Or docs will have to work by pair...

Except that only clothing will decay on the Doctor (unless you're a gun toter) and this makes our class useful again! Lately we've been replaced by pets and our own buffs. People won't want decay, so we'll be more demanded by hunters who die more often.

I only hope it alleviates the big problem I've seen since the start of the SWG thats only grown worse... the total lack of respect for healing classes. Dozens of times I've healed MASSIVE (700 - 1K) wounds on multiple people, and barely gotten a thank you. Sometimes not even that. No tip. The thanks yous were half-arsed and some people just ran off. Pets and buffs replaced the need for healers... it's just upseting knowing that a Master Doc/Master CM class is so totally ignored and taken for granted.

We need the whole Medical profession to take a few days off and see how much they'd like to have us back afterwards. (Obviously within a week it'd be back to normal though...)
