Thread: Question from a non doctor
Thanks in advance
Decent and best approach at around the same point... when you're nearing the end of the Doctor Crafting tree and in Master Doctor. If you want to be able to buff yourself really well 0,0,4,3 or 0,0,4,2 (maybe) is about as far as you have to go. I'm not sure on the last one (which is for the higher Med use on an enhancement pack)
Any Doctors with a min to check the numbers feel free to correct me. ![]()
Does this change anything?
Thanks for answering by the way.
The skill to use Enhancements is at 0,2,0,0 but you need about 80 med use to use the high end ones (unless they experiment them down, and then you lose power and duration) so you'll need to work up 0,2,0,3 (I think) to be able to use them. I know there's clothing out there with +Med use bonuses, but I don't know if those help with enhancements (I've heard yes and no, never used them myself).
If you CAN work it to 0,4,0,4 you can use Resusitation packs and revive people on the battlefield (NOT a bad skill to have anywhere).
But if you can just buy packs from someone 0,2,0,3 or 0,2,0,4 are the minimum (thats the skill to use enhancements and the basic Med Use required) You can check the tree yourself, you'll need to go up the last tree until you have at least 80 med use. (I think you hit that at the 3rd skill, but it might be the 4th)
Check the skill list, I think I got it mixed up with the CM tree, you need 2 in Master Wound Treatment to get Use Enhancement skill, and 3 in Medical Knowledge (maybe 4) to be able to use enhancements.
4 in Both Knowledge and Wound Treatment will let you revive I think.
I'm in a rush, so pulling this outta my hat. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!
You can check out the FAQ - this is all there.
However, in order to use the best enhancements, you'll need to make it to 0/2/3/0 (Advanced Wound Treatment/Expert Medicine Knowledge). You could go to 0/2/2/0 and use enhance C packs instead of D's, which are slightly less powerful, but it would save you 3 skill points.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the strenght of your buff is not only determined by your enhancement pack but also by your wound treatment skill. At 0/2/3/0, you'll have wound treatment of +35. If you can spend an additional 5 skill points to make it to 0/4/3/0, you'll have wound treatment skill of +75, making your enhancements 40% more powerful, on average (you'll also earn the ability to revive fallen players).
A master doctor, of course, has a wound treatment skill of +100 and, therefore, can apply the best enhancements. So, even at 0/4/3/0, the best buffs would still come from a master doctor, but we aren't always around when you need us. ![]()
