Make a stimpack and call it a fire-extinguisher.

Some units of Water, shouldn't be that much considering the kind of fire and making it worse etc.

Specific type of chemical (not really sure what kind of chemical is used in RL, but SWG seems to mirror RL concepts), chemical release duration mechanism, biological effect controller (for a healing kind of effect, think burn pastes that are put on in the ER), Liquid Suspension. Some kind of artisan created case, although the Solid delivery shell could do this(but isn't that more of a medical capsule thing??

Quality of items could certianly impact effectiveness. The case (size) could impact charges. small case means fewer charges. The mechanical explosive thing (trigger mechanism) could impact ease of use (skill) or something of that nature.

Quality of the chemical would impact effectiveness as well . Same for the water quality.

Seems pretty simple and really makes sense to me. Given the size, I think that limiting the charges per creation doesn't seem to crazy, course people carry around millions of ore. Seems like it should be a capability anyone can use, but with medicine use or something makes much more effective. Its kinda like operating a fire-extinguisher for the first time. You're not really sure what to expect and probably won't be very good. After having some experience (skill) with it, you know what to expect and can extinguish a larger fire with the same fire-extinguisher.

The catch to making it sort of easy to put out the fire, is that there should be a new category of wound (burn) each with a 5-level wound heal that would be require more skill and higherwound packsas the degree of the burn gets worse. The skill needed to fix someone that is literally almost burned to death would be Master Doctor plus clothes (130ish) or whatever skill max there is. (although I totally disagree with capping bonuses from clothing if one is a master) The reason behind this is that your local urgent care doesn't even hesitate to evacuate to a trama burn center if your skin is melting off and if they don't transport you, you will die. You cant use neosporin if the skin on your arm has been melted off. However, you can use it and a band-aid if you get a mild burn from hot water on your arm.

I'd like to open this up for honest discussion. I seethis as a legitimatefixthat is balanced to theon fire thing. If the dev's disagree with the above, at least let them roll to prone a couple times to extinguish a fire, they taught us that in1st grade.

Look at Balace Issue #3, On Fire Cure. Our Dev has already responded that he agreed that cure is needed for the On Fire state and they are looking into it. No dicussion has been provided on when, who will get it or how it will work, however.

My bad, i forgot to add on to the end there that this sounded like it might be something for consideration for teh method. (Hence the stuff about there not being a method that they have told us.) I just forgot to add it in. I'm forgetting lots of stuff lately. Must be gettin' old.

Yes, swimming will put out the fire. Not much help on Tatooine.
