Thread: Is anything better

What, did they fix the Accuracy Mitigation issue?
ahh right....forgot about that...and I can't test it, because I'm a Pikeman.....however....my point remains the same. We are far better off then some professions. I mean our list if real problems is really only about 3-4 deep....andsome of those problems have nothing to do with us (IE Jedi vs Healers).

Besides Bacta infusion, seretoinin, and the combat speed buff is there anything at all that makes a doctor better than it was pre-CU?
Hmm, good question. To add to your list you have to look at what game changes were made and how they play with doc.
1. Weapon certs are not needed for most weapons. As a result Doc does not need a weapon to use one. For example, once you hit lvl 54 (or 55 if I recall) you can use one of the most powerful rifles in the game (lazer rifle).
2. Wound healing. It was a medic skill. Now that it is a Doc skill we are needed for healing it. Yes, there are issues with our ability at the moment but I am confident that it will be changed in our favor soon.
3. Ranged and Melee Def.
4. Armor, well, of course we could use armor before CU so maybe that is not such a bonus.
5. Damage healing. Oh, sure, you will read a ton of post about how we heal for so much less than Jedi or that we dont heal for enough but the fact still remains that we are needed for healing more now than ever and that Jedi could always heal better than a doc (they could heal mind and do so while KD'ed for example). To me it is not just that we can heal but that our healing is so much more needed in the field that makes Doc more fun to play now than pre CU.
6. Poison/Disease cureing. Currenlty creature poison/disease is turned off. At some point the devs have stated that it will be turned back on. I suspect at that point you will find that Doc's are needed more than pre CU. Yes there are foods that can cure but just how much can you eat and how fast can a mob poison/disease you? I think food healing will be very limited and costly. However, since the need forPvP poison/disease healing has been greatly lowered in the CU so it may be a wash. We shall see.
I miss CM AoE poo...
What fun is having a Point-Blank AOE Cure if CMs can't AoE to begin with?
