Thread: Buffs: build or buy?

I just turned Master Doctor, and I want to start buffing.
Is it better to make my own buffs, or should I buy them from other palyers?
What is the maximum buff for each catagory that the game allows?

depends on the quality of your resc's. Delve into these forums a bit and you'll find the info your looking for.
As for caps, no there isnt one, but most good buff packs are in the 800-860 range. Some people have broken 900, and i havent heard of anyone breaking 1000 on a buff pack stat. There was some guy on my server that was selling exceptional janta blood that was something like 2341/1249 (yes, 1000's on each), so if you used these in your packs, instead of the abec's you could have a pack that would be well into the 3000 range! Can you imagine buffing with that?

The guy wouldnt post a screenie though, pitty, bidding was up to something like 40 mil, and then they all withdrew. *sigh*

Unless youve already been collecting the highend resources required to make you own I would buy your first couple sets until you get a good reserve of resources. Then craft up about 200 sets of buffs and never buy them again. Good luck.

My guild mate used my janta blood in my buffsa, and made me 1000+ health and action packs. I can use those to buff at 2900 on stats. Very powerful! My plan is to get a full set of those and one day, head to coronet and offer to buff 2900 on all stats for 20k. I think I'd get some people to try it.

I have 2 full sets that hit for 2900+ each stat.
I have enough janta for 5 more setsbut I'm waiting for better herbivore.

i love buffing the public despite the odd rude ass, and part of that is that we craft our own...my partner and imake the best packs we can (949/13365 with no janta blood right now) and we're proud of them and it feels great to buff people with them
i wouldn't enjoy being a doc near as much if we bought someone else's packs
i'm not saying that's the only right way at all, just saying think about what you'll enjoy more... if you don't really care if your packs are great as long as they're decent and you'd rather spend most of your time hunting and/or not buffing the public at all, then those are the things to decide on
you can make decent money either way, it's obviously a hell of a lot more work to make your own, but it's also a lot more satisfying

When we are laying down 2609's that go for 3:40 and someone says "Wow....thanks!!", it feels very good to say "Thanks, we work hard at making the best we know how". As I said, that's us...and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the other direction either

i say buy... just isnt worth it to put more stress on trying to get the best recources out there. id rather pay someone else to do that.

I would recommend buying until you get a nice resource stock, then making your own buff pack run with a factory, like I am. I'm not to the point where I can start manufacturing, missing the good tatooinian fiberplast and lokian wild wheat, as well as Class 4 Petro... using junk in place though, I just tested they are still around 840-860 power.

I like making my own packs. To me its more rewarding and you get to meet such interesting people to get meats for you
