Lok Wheat: OQ: 836, PE 66
Tat Fibreplast: OQ: 832, UT: 900
Dol Iron: OQ: 865, UT: 767
Reactive Gas: OQ: 773, DR: 996
Petro Fuel: OQ: 237, PE: 692
Herb Meat: OQ: 954, PE: 450
Avian Meat: OQ: 150, PE: 989

Is that stuff good/alright for buff packs? Meaning, could I get 800-900 power and at least an alright charge/duration?

I'm not a master Doc yet, but I'd like to know. If not all of it is good, could you please tell me which ones are? I think the Herb Meat is pretty nice, so I'll prolly try to get more of that while making money to buy anything that isn't too good.

Also, anyone know where I can harvest/buy some good Domestic Oats (10k or so units) on Corbantis?

Thanks for any help.

They are mostly good resources, but the OQ of the avian meat will make the quality suffer.

Your OQ on the gas and the avian meat will lower your buff packs to prolly around500 power or below. As comparison, with gas with 980 OQ and avian meat with 1600 PE/OQ in average I was getting 820 power packs.

500 power? I hope you're exageratting how low it is.

If I can get some good Dom Oats and better Avian, would it be able to go up to 800 power at least? If not, what else should I aim for?

Better fuel would be useful, but I don't think any has spawned at the moment, and I don't know where to buy it.
Avian with higher OQ would be sweet, but I don't really wanna spend 400k for 10k units (40cpu) like other doctors, I don't have that much money at the moment.

Any other tips/help?

40cpu is cheap for good avian meat. You're basically going to need to sit on your resources for awhile and wait til either 1. A good avian shift where you, some friends, and some scouts you contract all get the meat for you or 2. Buy other buff packs and build capital so you can buy the meat to make your own.

But the biggest factor in packs is avian meat and with halfway decent stuff you can hit 800 on the power, you'll just have to wait for good stuff to spawn since you don't want to buy any.

I would kill people for that tat fiberplast *drool*

The avian though, eh, I would make buffs with chicken feathers instead of that stuff.

The OQ on your avian will not only kill your power but your duration as well. Looking at the gas I would guess you would hit about 600 power and 8k duration depending on the unstated DR of the avian.

The only think I would do is get some better avian if you can.

Try to get 800+ OQ gas too.

Components have a very small impact on the power of your buffs really, the difference between average ones and good ones will be maybe 40 power at best. The avian meat and gas, however, can make your packs go from 500 power to 900+.

Its also my understanding that OQ is weighted a little more heavily than the PE as well. An 800 OQ, 200 PE avian meatl is always better than a 200 OQ, 800 PE meat. Both add to 1000, but you're get better buffs from the higher OQ material.

It actually doesn't work that way. Because the gas does not have a PE rating, the PE of the avian counts as the average (as if the gas had the same value). That effectively doubles the contribution of the PE, making it the same weight as the OQ. So, the only reason 800 OQ/200 PE is better then 200 OQ/800 PE is that the OQ also factors into the duration. The effectiveness would benifit the same from either one.
