Thread: Possible idea to make Master Doc worth the points

Holding the Master Doctor Title really doesnt mean much when a 0/2/4/0 Doc can buff for the same amounts as a Master Doc. (All it takes is 1 extra experimentation point to do this). I would like to see better use of the A,B and C buffs. Have 0/2/4/0 Docs Max med use be 75 like a Combat Med dabbler. This way holding a master Doc title will actually pay off...

I'm sure this has been probably been beat to a dead horse already but I'm new to the Doc forums and I would love to see this implemented.

Sure, you can buff at 0240 but the buffs will not be great, even with a 110% droid, bivoli and +25 clothing. You'llmaybe hit for 1600 from a good 90MU pack. I'm currently 4442 and my MU90 buff packs of 830 hit for 2100. When I get my master then they will hit for another 200 or so.

The points work well as they are if you ask me.

Now, back to my Crafting grind :-)

Thats a cool idea but would meet with resistance from the dabblers.A possiblealternative:

Master Doc's buff/heal faster? Not just a bit faster, heaps faster, say...30% faster than a non-master.

Anyone who isn't confused doesn't really understand what's going on.

well as a 0/2/4/0 dabbler doc, cant you just up your bio enhanced clothing to max it ? I was under the impression that a master doc maxes at 125 , so if a noob doc does get more clothing to bring it up wont that help?

+25 is the maximum bonus you can gain from clothing. You could be wearing 5 peices of clothing, each with +25 (for apparent total of 125) but you only get a +25 of that.

+25 is the cap no matter how much you're wearing.

things master can do that 0240 cant:

1. make stuff
2. raise the dead
3. cure diseases and poisons
4. buff a tiny bit better

its worth it to me.

A master doc can buff MUCH higher than a 0240 doc. BE clothes can only give you +25, it doesn't matter what level you are, so a 0240 doc cannot get a wound treatment modifier of +125. The highest you can get is without bivoli is +60. A master doc gets to +125, a big difference.

Like the others said, Master Docs buff much better than a master, expecially a 0-2-4-0 doc. Perhaps I would like to see us buffing a tad bit faster, or woundpacks and statepacks consolidated intoone for wounds and one for states. Those however would just be nice, and I never plan on master doctorfor *any* reason.

A Master Doctor does alot more then buff. We can heal large amounts of wounds in no time, cure all those nasty states ie disease, dizzy, posion, ect. and we can resurrect you when you play with creatures to big for you to handle because you're "buffed".

So next time you get diseased during pvp or you get killed because you thought fighting mutant rancor would be fun don't go looking for a Master Doctor, because according to you we are a waste of skill points.

i could have sworn a 830 based pack does not hit for 2100 even at master with no bivoli its more like 2054 and even with +25 bivoli and wound treatment 4 and using +25 bivoli its still only 2054.

go here http://www.iootnega.com/doctor/faq.asp#q26to check but use the link ot the Interactive Calculator as that calcualtion for the 900 based pack also appears to be wrong

Using a 786 buff pack with clothing and bivoli I can buff for 2150. Without the bivoli it's about 1950.

yes as a master doc, im not being funny but did u read the post i quoted and what i was commenting on ? cos it seems to me you did'nt

EDIT:

a 830 base pack used by a master doc with +25 cloths, droid food etc will hit for 2282, but i was not on about a master doc using this type of pack or using food, only cloths and driod - fear my new found editing ability lol
