I'm very new to this profession...although I'm hoping to keep it for a good while. I'm a Rifleman who has moved to Doc. I've had to sacrifice my Marksman Mastery to do this (at the cost of 5 Rifle Speed -
). So now I have something like 4 Skill Points left and (if really needed) the skill points I could salvage from the ranged support tree (another 14). I don't have any scout skills -
So I wanted to ask the other R / Ds what they've done with the paltry skill points they have left...and whether anyone knows whether a droid can be used as an effective substitute for novice scout.....

I had to give up some of my marksman skills also to work up Doc and RIfleman. You won't be able to keep Master Marksman for sure and yes it hurts. I dropped Carbines and Pistols and kept Ranged Support and Rifle obviouslly(I mean the bonuses are great but they are bonuses).

make sure you get a harvest droid if you pickup scout, mine is 104 bonus and with 0010 scout I harvest more than my friend with 0040 scout - in addition I picked up a rifle speed +5 tape and put it into my ubese shirt to negate the rifle speed issue at master
quite nice
and I need scout more than I need artisan as I'm able to snag most waypoints I need from friends ....

When Im PvE'ing I grab novice scout, surveying I grab Novice Artisan, PvP... pick up Ranged support.
You can purchase clothing or armor skill tapes to boost your rifle speed back up. I prefer clothing ones since clothes dont decay, although I believe you can put armor ones into an ubese shirt which will not decay, and can be worn under armor.
I have 2 +5 rifle speed clothing attachments enabling me to hit the speed cap.
Now all I want is a pre-nerf T21....
