Hi, just a quick question.

What is the best resources to use when crafting Stims?

I have been craftin Stim B's but only getting 110 healing. I bought some Stim B's and the healing was 375.

Can anyone explain the difference?

Thanks in advance

Most likely the Stim B's that your making does not use Advance components! It can be also assumed that your crafting ability is below novice doc at this point (maybe crafting 3 in the Medic tree)

The 375 heal Stim B's was probably crafted by a Master chemist (Doctor Crafting 4) and is using some Advance components.

My Stim B's at Master Doc level are as follows:

40 charges 430 heals

or 45 charges 402 heal

Possibly, I am 0-2-0-0 Doctor at the moment. Any suggestions on best items to craft for xp?

When I gave in and finally ground out the last box of doc crafting I did biological effect controllers. They take any organic and any inorganic, so I could use whatever resources I had lying around, and craft fairly quickly, so there's less waiting around time in your craft macro. I don't know if it was the best item to do, but that's what I did.

I had a Force sensitive character, with 23 and a half boxes ground out.
I had a master creature handler.
I had a high lvl crafter character.
I had a Bounty Hunter that I hunted PC Jedi with.

My game is dead.

If you are only gettting 110, thenI'm guessing that you aren't doing any experimentation. The first step is learn to experiment. The second step is start using ALSs. The third step is focus on getting good resources.

Here are the most important resources, in terms of how much power each can potentially contribute to the final power -

Base Power is 102.5 (75 from final, 5 from ABEC, 12.5 from the ALS, 10 from the ACDRM) for an all-advanced Stim B. The minimum is somewhat lower (though certainly no less that 78) for an all-basic Stim B.

1) Dantooine Berries (ALS) - 122.5 (get highest OQ + PE weighted equally since talusian water is OQ only)

2) General organic (final assembly) - 83.67 (get highest PE + OQ weighted equally since the inorganic won't have PE)

3) Talusian Water (ALS) - 62.5 (technically a 31.25range since get you can't get water with OQ < 500 - get highest OQ)

4) General inorganic (final assembly) - 41.33 (get highest OQ without any PE. Only use an inorganic with PE if the PE is higher than your organic)

5a) Class 4 Liquid (ACDRM) - 32.5 (get highest 2*OQ + PE)

5b) Herbivore Meat (ACDRM) - 32.5 (get highest 2*OQ + PE)

7) Lokian Wild Wheat (ABEC) - 16.67 (get highest OQ + PE weighted equally since fiberplast has no PE)

8) Tatooinian Fiberplast (ABEC) - 8.33 (get highest OQ)

Note that this is purely for power. In practice, you will probably want to experiment ABECs for charges. Additionally, you would not want to ignore UT on the fiberplast and general inorganic. Additionally, I weight OQ much higher than PE on Lokian Wild Wheat as I care much more about charges than power in that case). Still, for pure power contribution, I believe that these numbers are accurate.

You can use these to see where your current contribution comes from and to determine what resources you should focus on.

Nice job Happymob.

The only thing I would add is to read the FAQ. It is one of the best FAQ's in the game. It has some good examples that wil help out.

Also, since you will be limited by the number of med experimentation points you have you may want to make the most out of them by buying the best crafting tool and station you can find and placing them in a house in a research town. You will get a few more higher end successes which will give you a little better result with each experiment.
