Hi;

I have just seen a Buff pack of 890 base strength with 30 charges. Can you please tell me what kind of experimentation is done on each components to get these values? What experimentation value should I be aiming while making each sub component? I have been experimenting to get effectiveness so that my buffs are strong, but the most charges I could gather was 21 per pack. How do I get 30 charges?

All help is appreciated...

Use ABECs with charges experimented to 20'ish and rest in power.

this will bring charges in final assemly item (enchancement-d) to about 30'ish.

You will need very good quality avian meat and reactive gas to get good power, but should be able to get mid 850 power with good gas and decent avian (over 800 oq/pe avian).

Hope this helps

While subcomponents make a fair ammount of differnce, in buff packs, the quality of the Avian meat and Reactive gas are more important to reach values like that. From my own work, I would estimate the following would be required to get buff packs like that:

  • Avian Meat 900+ oq and 700+ pe and500+ dr

  • Reactive Gas 900+ oq and 700+ dr

  • advanced bio effect controller 20+ charges and 14+ power

  • advanced chem release duration mech 65+ power

  • advanced solid delivery shell 65+ power

As the previous person posted, the advanced bio effect controller will be what adds the most to the charge value of the buff pack. If you experiment your ABEC on charges instead, you will gain 8-10 charges and only loose 8-10 power on your buff pack.

  • I'd like to build my own buffs too, mostly because I've yet to find a 'buff store' I can depend on. these guidelines you've given us are good, but can you take them a bit further, and specify the resource stats for the sub-components too?

    thanks!

Well to get those kinds of numbers on the subcomponents, the resources used in the subcomponents should be 800+ OQ and PE for the most part.

The best way to do it is to experiement with varying resource qualities and see what you can come up with.

hmm... alright. I was hoping I wouldn't have to re-invent the wheel with this, but I'll give it a try....

by the way, have any changes been made that folks have noticed? last night, I was trying to make a schematic for advanced solid delivery shells -- used the same resources that I'd used the previous time I did a factory run, but this time I only got a power of 59 rather than the 67 I got the previous time. the resources in question are Wefoaite Dolovite Iron (OQ 976, UT 835) and Temmyae Domesticated Oats (OQ 992, PE 317)

Probably the results of your experiments were not the same as the first time round. Say instead of 3 or 4 great successes you may have simply got a success, or a poor success or whatever it's called (I get them so rarely now =)

They don't show up in the combat spam so you have to be paying attention when you do the experiment.
