Is it common practice that those who PvP in GCWexpect free buffs?? I usually buff on the assumption players will tip me and if I dont get one,I get negative feedback when asking for one. Is this just my server or is it a new trend that us docs getto "look forward to". I have begun the practice of not buffing until tipped, but its a sad day when you cant trust that your fellow players/faction will compensate you for you having to find/buy the resources and make the item you are giving them!!!

You know I have run into this as well. I was shopping on Tatooine and saw there was some trouble in a player city that I enjoy shopping at. I decided to help the guys out and only asked 4K for a buff if they could. I didn't want a profit, I just wanted to cover the costs. I haven't made buffs of my own yet, but I am collecting resources. Anyway I buffed quite a few people and only one person tipped me. I know I said if you could pay. But come on, am I to believe out of all those peeps only one person could pay? And they weren't bad buffs either. 2100-2500 all for 3 hours or more. I even rezed a few people. I don't think I will get involved next time. I just figured hey, help your fellow factiojn beat back the enemy, but why don't they help me back? Whatever.

I find it common for people to expect free everything. I constantly get tells for rezzing, buffs, armour... you name it, people want everything for free.

But yes, I've had imperials expect me to buff them for nothing even when they're headed out for PvE. "Come on, we're on the same side!"

I buff my faction's raids for free. Outside raids, I buff my faction's overts for free and coverts for donation. I feel this encourages and strengthens my faction. If I get a tip I keep it, but I'm happy to buff them for free. I don't buff blue names.

I've been a master doctor for nearly a year, harvested my own resources and done my own factory production of meds in bulk. The only thing I sell is Stim B. My D enhancesare2433 points and I make crates of them purely to help my faction. Throwing around free buffs feels good and makes a difference to the GCW.

Sorry if I'm setting a bad example

I have no problems with others doing this, I have been a doctor since the beginning, harvesting my own and making my own as well. However I DO NOT ENJOY IT I really dont mind the occasional free buff for the cause. But this seems to be a trend, GCW players expecting free buff. I personally believe in helping my cause yes, I will rez, heal, cure poisions, disease, drag. But as it stands I dont enjoy finding the items for making buffs, hence this trend does not bode well for me personally. But if it works fine for you thats kewl...I just gotta learn how to say no

I will only buff for free when it is for PVP or its a guildie. So in PVP I will normally offer free buffs for those that are accually fighting. I try to keep a good eye on the people that die and those that just show up for the buffs then go out and PVE. Guildies is self explanatory they normally tip me but I never ask and never expect it cause I know they would help me out if I need it and I am more than happy to repay the gesture.
