Hi All,

I have been a doc/swordsman forever mainly for pve so I can fight NPC animal mobs to harvest meats etc.

But now I have a ranger that gets my meats for me, and I am slowly getting into more pvp.

I find sword (My hammer) a bit slow, and delays the heals. The scythe not so much but still I notice.

Both Sword and TKM will use alot of mind so I dont see much differece there. I'm not getting rid of doc, but not sure TKM will be much better and may just be a change of pace.

any feedback would be much appreciated.

TKM is much better for PvP although you'll have to remember that most everyone is running around in at least 70% kinetic resist armour.

For PvP I would suggest Fencer, permits the use of a stun baton. Tough TKM is a close 2nd.

For dueling Doc/TK is good against a melee class. It is also a good combo against Jedi.

However, for group PvP the lack of a ranged attack just kills you. No one stands still long enough for you to wack on them. I would suggest getting rifles.

Fencers are a terrible PvP prof now with a stun baton, everyone is running around with stun comp+psg+melee mit 3 so it takes all that lovely stun dmg and turns it into nothing. Unless you can get one of those uber batons floating around your gonna be useless with one. TKM is really good, and swordsman with some speed tapes can be even better.

Actually, no melee profession is uber in terms of damage right now. But a couple of things to remember. Fencers are very hard to hit with pik pie and cob macro running. Much harder to hit than tkm. Also, it is very easy to get a dot fencer weapon. I bought a janta knife mind poison that does 105 mind damage for 25k. Fencer gets the very nice area blind and dizzy plus bleeds. You stack that on a sword and they simply cannot hit you. In group combat TKM is easier to hit. 1 v 1 I think its a tossup.

Btw I have 3 characters and 1 is a TKM Rifle and the other is a Fencer/Doc. As a wook the fencer was my only option. Im happy with it because Im so hard to hit..

As a Master Doctor my view is Doctor 1st, Combat 2nd. Fence provides the best ranged/melee def, Def vs. skills, mit 3 and highly effective CoB. The AoE Dizzy attack is quite nice when combined with a lunge. It is the best melee profession for Doctor in PvP to preform the tasks as a Doctor, plus Fence is low in mind use. One KD food gives the Fencer Def. vs. KD of +120.

Everyone whines there are not enough Doctors in PvP, actually there are more than people believe. The problem is there too busy fighting.

He asked which profession would be good to go with Doctor in PvP, not which profession goes good with Swordsman.

as a swordsman did you use any speed attachments? i haven't done much PvP as a doc/swords but am interested in starting if i think i have a decent chance

but anyways, i am a former doc/tkm combo and it was great for PvP (this was maybe two months ago, i think 70% kinetic composite was out then) with brandy, canape, dancer and musician buffs available now mind has lost a lot of its negatives

i only dropped it because i had heard so many good things about swordsman and wanted to try it out. i still am a swordsman and i probably will be for a long while (heres hopingi can find some speed tapes )

Thanks,

I never even thought of speed tapes or attachments. They are so typically out of my price range, but I bet I could save up if I tried to not spend it all on Twi'lek ladies of the evening and cheap jawa swill.

That might be the way I go, as I love the spin attacks of swordsman and my mind hits when paired with a cm are really nice.

Thanks All,
