Thread: Master Doc or 0440?

Debating whether or not to keep MD or drop down to 0440 to free up points. Template is currently TKM/MD. I don't PVP, never really take on anything with more than 20k ham (not often anyways), so I find myself buffing myself with doc, then basically doing nothing else with it. I never heal states, poison, disease or anything, I dont even have the packs.
So what I'm asking, for someone that buys all their buffs, can you get decent buff packs at med use 90?
Plan on shopping around before dropping Master Doc.
(FYI, probably going to pick up some rifleman, so thatI can do some damage against kenetic stuff.)

You can absolutely get good buff packs that are med use 90 or less. I can make 905 power, 11.5k duration, 27 charge, 90 med use buff packs with my 10 point Doc. So clearly good buff packs are available. It's just a matter of finding a vendor who has stock.

If you are lucky you should be able to find a vendor who can sell lvl 90 or 89 MU buff packs. If you're in a guild and have a master doc, ask them to see if they can experiment them down to this level. Then as long as you have decent clothing, a medical droid and good bivoli you will be able to do pretty good buffs, but they won't be as good as a Mast Doc who can use higher Med Use buff packs.

If all you want to do is use the buffs all you really need is 0 2 4 0. However, even though you can get outstanding buff packs with a rating of 90 (850+) it might not be very easy to find them on your server. I tried that on Tarqunias and couldn't find anything, and I do mean anything. I flew to every planet, every vendor, and it was just a huge waste of time. Needless to say I am a master doctor now and I am crafting my own packs. It certainly makes life a lot easier. Also, if you buff your friends, they're usually pretty well inclined to help you to find resources that you need to help you out. Hope that helps ya out.

My alt is a master doctor. A doc in my guild makes excellent 945/89 MU packs. I buff 2598 with them, so I'd guess a 0440 doc would buff around 2330.

I make 31c/937p/3:25/MD or 30c/937p/3:25/90Med use Dif in buffs are 2500 MD and 2300 0440 Doc.
