I'm starting an alt and I am mastering smuggler to help out guildmates, but I could still learn some doctor skills. From what I have read, I just need to get doctor 0240, Bio-engineered or clothing attachments up to +25 wound treatment,a droid with a med rating of 110, and buffs packs with a rating of 90 or lower in order to get the highest possible buffs without mastering doc. Is there anything else I need to learn or buy before trying to do this? I've been trying to piece the info together from a lot of posts, so any extra insight would be appreciated.

It is true that you will be able to use enhance pack Ds (the most powerful) with the skills that you list. However, the master doctor box gives a bonus to medical skill so your enhance numbers will be less than a master doctor. Specifically, with +25 inj/wound treatment clothes, a 110 med droid, and +25 bivoli, youwould hit for the packs power * 2.035. A master doctor with the same equipment hits for the packs power * 2.75.

With 900 power packs (darn good packs) that amounts to 1831 for you and 2475 for the master. It is up to you whether the additional 644 points of enhancement are worth the skill point use.

If you advance to 0440, your multiplier jumps to 2.31 making the 900 power packs hit for 2079.

while on Flurry, don't visit Ojes Yobe's Liquidation Vendors just 800M from Theed starport on Naboo (neg5219 3419) - cause they ain't there anymore! They are now exclusively located in Mos Athens Mall

0240 in the doctor tree will allow you to use packs that are med use 90 and below. Med enhancement clothes will only stack up to +25 so dont bother getting a +25 hat, shirt and pants.. you'll only get a total bonus of +25 (regardless of what it says in your skills listing). Use bivoli for buffing as well. *shiftyeyes... waves hand in front of Aerimai's face all jedi master like* you will become a full doctor.. you will not sit in front of the starport and buff... you will go out with groups and heal them... you will be uber... *runs and hides*

Okay, so if I learn doc 0440 and use Bivoli I should be able to do some okay buffs. I'm not trying to get rich. I just want to buff my alt and some guildmates when we try to do late night hunting. It seems like docs are getting so rare with the impending nerf. I just don't see people not wanting buffs afterwards. It seem like a lot of people paniced and now docs are getting harder to come by. Thanks for the help so far. Great explanations, but as far as going out and helping jedi, heck no.

Ya, with x44x you'll be using this forumla to buff (assume the packs are 850 base)

850 x 1.1 (med droid) x ([100 + 75 + 25 + 25]/100) x 1.1 (if you're in a medical center city specialization) = enhancement
