Incorrect, it is not 600k-900k profit. Profit is what you make after time and expenses are factored in. You have to subtract the cost of the resources (purchased resources cost money, harvested resources cost less money but a lot of time) and the time cost of crafting. If you buy your buffs instead of crafting them, the equation is easier since there's not much time involved in buying them compared to making them. Then you have to figure in the value of your time taken buffing, which can mean very little or a great deal from person to person. Only then you can you determine profit.
The word you were looking for was gross, you would gross 600k-900k.

This is an aside, but I hear the Lady Valarian Themepark is worth about 100k. I did it in a couple hours -- simply because I spent so much time wading through the lag that is Newbsville, Mos Eisley.
Her missions started getting up near 8k each.

Ah, yes good point about the none buffing avenues. Keiban, what other skills do you have besides doc?
It may not be super exciting to some but the ever popular Janta/Mokk missions on Dant are total cash bonanzas. Earned a half million on one buff, but that's with Master Swords, so it's not for everyone.
I find healing people is fun, buffing my guildmates and fixing them up from nights of PvPing ain't bad either. But trying to make big money off of doc seems like a lot of pain to me.

Yeah if you have any combat at all and get buffed plus armor jantas/mokks are the way to go for money.

The Valarian Themepark requires little-to-no Combat Skill. I believe these themeparks are designed to be accessible to everyone with just a little bit of combat capability. Especially if you're buffed or with armor, I think novice marksman or novice brawler would be sufficient -- quicker if you have a dedicated attack like Bodyshot1 or something.
I mean, yeah, I know Buffing is the primary avenue for money-making with Doctors, but I certain am not a Doc to sit there buffing people.I can't really do that anyway since I run around overt all the time. Back in the day you used to be able to 'hire' out to groups. They'd pay you for your time and you'd keep their group alive. I dunno if that's an option now since I always run around helping Rebels and Neutrals all the time just for the ability to associate.

Ok, first off, the gross profit/net profit debate. I guess I did ask for that, but I more or less just wanted a "You will make about xxx credits a night." But thanks for the indepth responses.
Second, originally I did intend to mention that I could be just grinding rancor or janta missions. Would I make more money doing that?? I am a master swordsman in addition to my doctoring skills.
Thanks again for any future/past responses

To put it simply: if you are a master swordsman and want money, do Janta/Mokk missions, you will make a TON...buffing to get rich is not really that feasible, hunting to get rich is easy!

I've been getting a little strapped for cash, meds sales haven't been quite what I was hoping for. So I'm thinking of doing a little starport buffing of teh public. So naturally I'm wondering, profit wise, what can I expect in a night of buffing??? Lets' assume fairly busy hours, busy area, ( dath, coronet, maybe dant) and we'll say about 10K per buff given. Can I expect to make a couple 100K?? maybe more, maybe much less???
Any insight is appreciated, thanks all

Lets assume your buff paks have 30 charges, lets also assume they hit 2400+ and that they last for 3 hours 35 min.
Having assumed all that if your in a busy place and there isn't alot of competition (ie 2 or more docs besides yourself) then you can probably expect to buff 60-90 people in a few hours time. So, at 10k each, thats a 600k-900k profit. Now, this all depeonds on how many docs are also buffing at the same place, how busy that place is, and how many new people show in an average 2-3 hour period.
I like to sit on Dantooine, mainly because LOTS of people go there and I can expect new customers most of the night. I won't buff somewhere where two or more docs are already buffing.
Last night I buffed right at 90 people in I think 4-5 hours, not sure on exact time frame. I made quite a bit of cash, was charging 12k, only doc on Dant most of the night, 2400+ power buffs, 3:25 duration.
So, there are alot of factors, you should be able to figure it out.
