Well to say the least I've been totally annouyed by the vendor nerf, and know the devs they probably won't do anything to fix it until it hits live and destroies a couple of markets. But in their defense I realize how much lag this will save, because less items to load = faster loading servers.

Now to the important Part of the post.

I have been wondering none stop about the possible senerios this will have on us mass producing/crafting docs, I came with a couple of points, please feel free to bring more to my attention if you think they will also affect us.

1\ We won't be able to sell anything other than crated.

2\ We will have to do with out a bunch of items that we don't think are essential

3\ We will have to increase prices to keep our marginal profit that keeps us in business

4\ Some of us will become specialized on certain Items.

5\TheResource Stock brokersissue vs storage.

6\ No more fun doctor crafting.

This are the main points that I thought we will be at after the nerf. So I think I'm going to talk a little about each one and hope you guys can feed me more ideas.

1\ It's pretty obvious that we won't have the luxury of crafting for everyone and just selling them their needs. For example the customer can't just come in and buy like 2 or 3 stim Bs and leave they will have to buy a crate of 10 or higher (depending on the crafter).

This will not cause the temploiters with novice medic much but will totally screw the new medics who are trying to join our medical ranks as docs/cms/mms, so to say the least that will be very bad for our professions in general.

2\ Okay this is a huge one, you can come to my vendor anytime and you will find each possible item a Doc or a CM can craft. Of course we all know that won't be the case anymore. Plus a lot of other docs, cms and medics depended on my sub-components which quite frankly we won't be able to sell, so again the medical professions as a whole are getting shafted.

3\ This is self explainatory, if I sell a 2 hundred items that cost me 4 for 5 credits my profit is 200. Now to keep my profit the same by selling 50 items, I have to charge 8 credits... TAKE THAT ECONOMY .

4\ Now this is a good and a bad thing in the same time, with having someone specialized in making certain items it will make them very good at it and the quality of it will most definatly improve. In the other hand, the prices he/she are charging will go through the roof. And quiet frankly the most profit is in making buffs, so not many people will make other stuff again our medical professions will be hurt. I for one will focus on very highend stuff for master docs and very low stuff for novice medics, I'll stop production for everything in between.

5\ Oh yeah this will be the big whamy, no more vendor storage, so if you craft a thousand items you have to use your lots to store them. That means you can't harvest no more, so you have to buy resources. But wait Miners can't keep much in stock any more too, so that will cause thepharmaceutical market to shrink a lot.

6\ If you are a casual doctor who crafts once a week or 2 weeks you won't have that luxury anymore you have to keep restocking all the time ( you thought restocking was bad), which leads to doctors having to do this as a job rather than fun, needless to say we will lose a lot of good crafting doctors who don't want to deal with the hassle anymore. More doctors quit crafting, Pharmaceutical market becomes a monopoly for a few. The scare part is once the market reaches a state of Monopoly what will happen if one of those main doctors with the Monopoly decided to stop being a doctor or quits the game...

My personal Solution right now:-

Doctors need to master the art of packaging, some might ask but what do you mean mono?

Since we can't sell everything we have to pick and choose items that we think every certain level of the medical profession needs. For example I will be selling a Pack with the following items in it just to make sure that novice medic is ready.

1\ a crate of stim Bs

2\ A crate from each wound pack A (6 total)

Lets say for master medics,

1\ a crate of stim Es

2\ A crate from each wound packC (6 total)

you guys get the idea. So please let me know what you think of this packaging ideas and what you think should be packaged for your level of doctor if you aren't a master (tell me your level and what you need the most).

P.S: it's about time we started talking about that magical bag medical professions need for their stuff that is different from the normal bags.

I sold buff packs for a good while in back packs with bivoli and such.

It was one big pain in the .....

I stopped they day a guy who bought a pack accused me of ripping him off buy putting lower quality packs in the bag than what I had described. I told him to offer the bag back at 110% of what he had bought it figuring I must have mislabled it. Well, he offered the bag and had someone elses crafted packs in the bag.

I no longer sell bags to strangers.

I am a 0003 merchant and probably going to grab 0004, I may just sell 90 use meds and special order master doc meds, I figure the back pack think should work as I am well established and pretty reputable, but first time I get accused of the above mentioned, I will tell them to trade it back in a trade window so I can see them, I am also going to add a 5k deposite on the back pack, they take thier stuff out and return it for 5k refund

I have someone with a wound pack vendor so I dont worry about those, one vendor is on another planet and has always had a limited stock anyways, it shouldnt be a problem with that one, my stims will be tough, I may only sell crates in those.

So I figure:

1 Vendor off planet with limited supply.

1 All stims maybe 2

1 all enhance packs probably all 90 med use

1 janta blood packs and loot vendor

I should have 1 or 2 vendors extrato split stuff up, I might make one master meds vendor, and the other a 2nd stim vendor with state stims and these new meds we just got.

I really think they will up the limits and I will be ok, but I feel for the people with only enough skill points for novice merchant and so many things to stock.
