A factory will give you 10% of the experience hand crafting would do IF you are online and near the factory.

It should be providing 10% no matter where you are or if you are online. If it is not and you can test that for me, please let me know.I will roll that into the factory issues as it is completely counter to the way Holo said factory XP was supposed to work. I could have swornI was getting that XP even when logged off, though.

I've just started using a factory. This weekend I had something odd happen to me that I can only attribute to my factory. My house is south of Keren on Naboo. I was in Theed running some missions and scouting for resources, when out of the blue I get a system message saying that I now Qualified for Engineering I, Merchant I, and Domestic Arts I. I haven't crafting anything other than meds in weeks, so I have no clue how I got General Crafting XP on anything other than what my factory was cranking out.

Did you make anthing artisan-like that you gave away or sold to someone else? There is also Use XP or UXP) in the game. So let's say you wanted to help out someone starting out int he Medic field that needed a Food& Chem Crafting station that you made for them. After a certain amount of time, or uses or whatever the heck the formula is for it, you would have gotten a UXP bonus from the item.

The only artisan things I've made were in the first week of release, and I only made them for myself.I made some clothesso I wouldn't look like everyone else and a couple of CDEFs until weaponsmithscould make better. So, I know they have all been destroyed since I destroyed them myself. I haven't even made a camp since the first week as I still have that in my backpack. The only things I've made since then that are circulating around are B & C Stims. So, the only thing I could have gotten any kind of crafting xp at that particular time were Stims or the factory run of CRDMs.
