Thread: Another Shock
I knew going in that PVP in this game just like all the others was going to be a pretty ugly scene, so I had been putting off joining a faction. But my PA is Imperial so I finally joined up as a covert, and being a Master Doctor thats not going to hide behind my "Novice Artisan" title:
I spent the entire weekend getting yelled at, screamed at, and cursed at ..... not by the Rebels but by Imperials. Every 12 year old I passed it was "HEY DOC come help me blah blah blah" and if I said no it was "you blah bitch" and everyone knows what that "blah" means.
It was my mistake but I though covert meant "covert". I dont care to know who the other "Imperials" are when I amcovert, besides it makes it impossible to tell who is overt or covert.
But oh well it was easy and painless to resign
why do you even bother listening to them?
/addignore name will maybe teach them to take care and respect medics.
lol, yeah, the faction system is a bit weird about coverts. At the moment, being covert is just a 'PVP protection screen' ![]()
The amount of times ive walked into a med center and someone has said "Sorry, I cant heal you cus your reb/imp" is stupid!
Their is simply nothing the Rebel players can do if they discover you are covert.
Hell, the amount of times ive set off my 'emperial war cry' macro by mistake should have attracted enough attention ![]()
No, I don't want to follow you around and heal you for "great exp". No, I don't want to group with you for kreetles. Of course, I've had this backfire with random people asking me artisan questions.
You can tell who is overt by the little symbol next to the name. I kinda like knowing who is covert, as it gives you a general idea of how much help you might have if the opposing faction comes to raid. It's also nice to know who is covert because you can often expect to get a TEF when healing them.
