since the patch I'm getting a lot more critical failures, I guess it's because of theeffectiveness of the tool. Mine havea negative effectiveness and it seems to be the same things for everything on the bazaar. Someone told me he could make a tool with a 20 effectiveness

I had my tools made for me by an artisen friend. they have 7.2~ effectiveness, and seem to work pretty well.

I guess that number does something or they wouldn't show it..I'm not sure exactly what it does but just because its there..im gonna try and get the highest ones I can find.

Food chem kits can be up to 15. (that's 100%(... more likely to find the best in the 14.xx range though (best I have ever made is 97% with a 990 conductivity copper.

Personal craft stations (in houses).. can be up to 30, or only 15(without the optional components)... beware... many an archetect before (and even after) the patch use whatever materials they can find.. and -10 personal craft stations are not uncommon.

It is not clear if droid crafting stations have the same limitations on them... they do have experimental stats affected by crafting... I just don't know if we get a numerical value that we can see on the finished droid.

I upgraded my tools from -4% (!) to +10.9%... and I noticed no difference so far... at least not in the degree of success (average, good, great, amazing). In fact, I kinda think my critical failures have increased slightly!

What I suspect might be happening is that I get better experimentation results. For example, if I am making a chem release and have 12 point to spend (example), I've noticed that I only need to spend 7-8 points on two consecutive experiementations to max out the % on the object. Prior to that, I would have to spend nearly all my experimentation points to max out the object.

Hell, it's worth doing just for peace of mind!

I had been using F/C crafting tools that were very low effectiveness, -11 or so. I went to an artisan who crafted me a couple and after crafting he said that the results had given him a +13 tool effectiveness. I was elated, figuring that okay, I should really see a difference here if there was one. When he went to trade the items to me I noticed that they were only -10 tool effectiveness.

My question is: Is this a bug in the crafting of F/C crafting tools, or is this some other kind of error? Clearly these tools should have been 13+ effectiveness, and yet the final product was terrible. Could others out there repeat this? I am not an artisan and seem to be unable to create a decent F/C tool, but it seems neither can an artisan.
