Thread: Should a master Doc be a TKA or a Swordsman?

I have been working on a master Zabrak doctor, they are amazing!, and I have gotten to the point where I can make great stims and buffs. Now with this said, I wanted to know from experienced players which combonations they have found the most effective.

Should I go for a Master Doctor and Teras Kasi Master? Or should I go for the Sword wielding Swordsman?

I am concerned about which class can benefit most from my doctor's skills and assets (enhance buffs). It seems like all those TKA's that complain about high move costs would benefit from super stamina and strength.

I would appreciate any advice that you guys can offer. Thanks

Every combat class is going to be up in flux for the next 2 months as the devs attempt to rebalance things so I would pick a class that you like to do and enjoy it and if they change it in a way you don't like then surrender your skill and pick another. xp for combat class comes easy enough that switching schools is a week and half or 2 week process of light game time.

swordsman

all melees classes (except TKA) get bleeds (DOT attacks)

TKA get meditation (ability to remove DOT attacks)...but you can already do that as a master doctor

thats a **edit** good point james.. im personally going for TKA doctor and so far im loving it.. (although it sucked horribly getting to tk novice) its great impressing people with the amount of damage i do with unarmed hit 2 and how much damage i can take before doing a 1000/1000 heal tka does however get every body hit (head, chest, and leg.) which is **edit** helpfull when you're in a group of riflemen for instance

i also just dont like using weapons..

I am a big fan of the PIstoleer/Doctor combo.

I know you said melee but in a big group where I /follow from target to target and hell on the go I am not always in melee range.

I find that if I /follow my main tank and /assist even if I need to break away to heal someone else I continue to attack and never miss a beat. Basically I am constantly doing damage and thus helping my team in addition to healing.

Big fan of Doc/Carbineer here - carbineers do hella damage with high HAM costs - simple burn rate buffs make you uber. The first person in beta to have 3 at-st's was a carbineer doc.

Master TKA here and less than half a crafting box from Master Doctor. I don't suggest going TKA or any melee for awhile. Melee still get kicked around from being kited and we have no way to catch up with the lunge timer now. If you want to live in this game go range. "Don't bring a knife to a gun fight"

TKA is excellent with a healing class. but that healing class would be master combat medic, a friend of mine uses this combo and she kicks tail. If she closes in on you she will beat you like a small dog, and if you are ranged and try to run away she throws mind poison at you..either way you're going down. With doctor, I dunno if it's such a good combo, it'll help being able to heal yourself but when you're getting kited it does no good really to be burning stims on yourself and thus mind pool as someone runs and eye shots you....
