Fire wounds seem better than any Poison or Disease pack craftable by a CM but there's no way to tend it. How they not have a way to put out fires in Star Wars. The Dev's are getting to used to creating combat systems that don't have possible counters, first the mind pool then this. The fire damage is nice but at least have SOMETHING that stops you from 15sec of being helpless.

A Fireman? Firehyrant? Things that deal with water? Rain? Seriously. If your in a squad and sombody starts on fire the best you can do is have them stop drop and roll. Hehe.

the only thing I'm aware of that will put out fire is swimming, but that's usually not a viable option in combat. I agree that someone needs to be able to counter that...

Just to be the devil's advocate ... Don't think many victims of flame thrower attack survive in the real world .

I agree with you that there should be a way to extiguish flames. To me anyone can do it but the person that's on flames.Only doctors could treat burns though .

Now imagine if we had a system in the game where wound damage is segmented. Like if you get shot in the gutthen there is a random chanceare bleeding internally or for example your liver fails. You would need a surgery where at least 3 doctors have to administer some sort of medical care. Imagine if they built up a system where you actually do what a doctor would do. Bring people to health.

In fact, It would give a clear distinction between a doc and a medic or even combat medic.

Anyhoo, I'm rambling.

You're not helpless. You still can heal damages and wounds on the field.
You can't just stop the fire effect, meaning you can keep ppl alive.

Maybe a Artisianshould beable to make a Fire Extinguisher.

And maybe a entertainer should make Magazines or Books to heal mind dmg/wounds.

Lets keep the RL out of the question. Not many people would survive a rocket launcher projectile in the gut, but in this game you can. Flamethrower is a DOT. Just like any DOT in the game, it should be cureable. If I can cure your cooties or poision, heal your damage instantly, and bring you back from the dead, I should be able to put out your flames.

This needs to make the top issues list.

Well it was a new issues before th elast voting (and hence near the bottom of the list where the new issues go) and it made it up to #22, so more folks are becoming aware of it and thinking that it is important. I guess that's saying something.

I don't think anyone can survive a R.L. flame thrower. Even if you dive in a lake after getting hit. They use a thin form of napalm with white phosphorous. If submerged it will go out. But as soon as the phosphorous comes in contact with air, it reingites. There is one specific way to get it off, but I don't remember at this time. something like epsom salt and water or some such.

I guess we should keep RL out of the game, sence this game has nothing even close to rl physics in it.
