So... .i am a master doctor...master combat medic... i heal like a beast and buff like a mad man...but i can't defend myself because all i can do is heal...

I can't go out kill the harder faction quests because i dont have enough damage output to fight the stormtroopers... well i got my gimp pet, but he can't take that much hits...

It's getting to a point that it's not worth healing other rebels while there is a fight going on...why am i going to waste my stimpack's on someone when that will make it so other's will come kill me and i will end up loosing faction points and gain nothing ?

There should be a way that if you heal someone and that person kills the other faction player, you should get the same amount of faction as he did(or half)or something like that...That is only fair for those that play two healing classes.. and if the developers would say..."well pick one"... i'd stick with doctor of course...buff, res and all good stuff... only reason im got combat medic was for area healing which is awesome...but besides that, combat medic is a total useless healing class at the moment because:

1 - it takes a **edit** load more resources than doctor's stimpacks do...

2 - poison-disease doesn't really work properly as it is

3 - SOE doesn't have a spell checking system when they type stuff for the game because that 900 medicine use for a disease item is just retarded...oh and the 13 biological thingies that make stim are E.....*sigh*

Anyways...wouldn't that be fair to those who are playing a total support only class ? Of course there are other issues with being two, like to get avian meat, i have to freaking drop artisan to get scout so i can harvest stuff and to survey for stuff i have to drop scout and get artisan...but that's another story =p

Yeah, Issue #13 on the Big List up top. Drives me nuts, too.

I actually had a groupmate ask me whyI was bothering to speand a whole bunch of time doing nothing but killing Chunkers for the Project Dead-Eye thing. Seemed a wats of time to him since it took me quite a few hours to get the disks of doing nothing but killing these guys. I told him because I couldn't easily solo faction missions and because when I am with them I don't get any FPs those times that I need to strictly hela nd can't get a shot in that it really was the best way for me to FPs. It just never occured to him that I wsn't getting the same amount of FPs they were.

Plus when in PvP you could incap the person and have someone run through, do the DB and garner 100% of your faction for the kill.

I would also really like to see healers get faction point for doing their jobs. As it stands, medics/doctors are not quite balanced in the system with combatants. We are their support: they cannot play without us, yet we are overlooked in the big picture.

We get a TEF for healing an overt member of our faction: an enemy can kill us. And yet, when my team mate takes out a couple enemies, my reward is...nothing! Either don't give me a TEF for doing my job, or reward me in line with combat personel.

I had to pick up pistoleer to pick up faction on my own. In doing so, I had to drop musician, which I had mastered. But it was the ONLY way I could compete in this combat-biased game. Musician missions...a whopping 135 credits. Even for a master. And yet as the newest, rawest novice marksman, I made 500 creidts per mission...and I could do them repeatedly, in one central location, in 2 minutes each. Not Shuttling all over the planet to play a gig for 10 minutes each time. For a more direct comparison: as a pistoleer, I made 5k in one hour doing destroy missions (in addition to getting locked containers and Dead Eye disks, and 300 faction points). As a MASTER musician, I made 1k running entertainer missions that were all in the same city (had to spend time aborting the ones where I would have had to wait for a 10 minute shuttle or spend my precious credits on said shuttle), and a whopping 20 faction. Which is still better than relying on tips....

As a doctor, getting faction is even tougher. If I had no pistoleer at all, the only way I can see to get faction is either by making sure your group does your missions and then get the massive 8-9 faction points per mission (no faction for killing the npc's-I'm too busy healing) and nothing else. Or try and DB an enemy in PvP...with what? Klonk him over the head with my hypospray? I am lucky now in that I have some highly trained combat friends that do big faction missions. I can get 82 faction points now from my own missions when the others in my group kill the base. But that's the ONLY faction I get. The rest of them get to rack up faction points in combat, for EACH of our missions. Bah, humbug!

Fixing faction for support people would be a good start to working on balance.
