Thread: question from a ranger, regarding the new post patch organics market.
Hello all, like the title says yep I'm working through ranger (3 boxes from master now hehe) and have had made quite the business supplying tailors and smiths alike with the hides from all my kills, though it was justrecently i'll admit i started ondoctors and meat supplying, but since you guys need organics also I've delved into that market.
Least I was till this last patch, now it seems like it's taking me an entire day sometimes to fill just 1k orders in some instances, and my own personal budget is taking a major hit. Cause lets face it, if you sell hide at 3 or 4 cr a unit like i do with friends and repeat customers, they want 1-2k of hide, it takes me nearly a whole night now to get that, and I spend one whole night making 3000-4000 credits as opoosed to 3 rebel missions out of anchorhead earning the same, which am I going to do?
Now I haven't stopped of course, but I'm caught in a dilemma I can't stand, I don't want to price gouge, I don't want to raise my prices period because it's going to trickle down through everything, but at the rate things are going....
Anyway minor rant ramble aside the question to thedoc's out there which I'm seeking feedback on, since the patch has come out, how has it impacted the organics markets on your servers? In terms of finding people to harvest, price per unit, and any other side effects?

Slighty curious and minorly annoyed atm ranger.
Thruth be told the meat market (for qualtiy medical-use meats anyway, such as Herbivore, Aviand an Insect) was already starting to dry up before the patch. Rangers and Scouts have been kind enough to offer us 3-4cr rates, which for most of us is a good deal. But, considering how much an artisan can yank out of the groud with very little effort or risk, compared to what a scout/ranger does for LESS resources at greater risk, I think you guys charge far too little for those hides and bone. Heck if a steel that can be pulled up at no risk for stacksof tens of thousands can sell for over 10cr/resource, hides should be worth at least 8 per, IMHO.
I thknk the artisans are just flat ripping you guys off, period. Pulling up less now? Charge them MORE. Scarcity of resources. (Unless you are hunting with a group of scouts/rangers, in which case you are netting an immediate 20% increase with at least on more scout of similar level around and a flat 60% extra for every scout after that so you may try to do some scout grouping to see if you can use that to actually increase your supplies, but most scouts are more into being the lone one of a group from what I have seen.)
The problem then becomes having all the scouts/rangers going where the money and quantityis, like all of the surveyors already do. Meaning they gather resources only for Artisans who can afford to pay those kinds of pricesand the low-income medic-types get the shaft on supplies. We just can't afford, usually, to pay that kind of price for meats.
Kind of a Catch 22, don't you think?
