I am working my way up to be a Master CM slowly and I have been a Master Doc for quite some time now.

I only have two more boxes of CM Med XP, and 2 more boxes of CM Crafting and I'll have mastered both.

And I just started on CM last week

So does having no scout movement abilites hurt at all? I was toying with the Idea of Combat Medic and Doctor. Was just curious on how you handle moving slower?

Hehe. I now run uphill VERY slowly and get teased about it. I had level 4 in whatever that skill was .... and had survey 4 .... and ... *cry*

NM all that. I will lose Novice RIfleman very shortly as I have 1 crafting box yet to go for Master CM.

The reason I had exploration IV in the first place was so that, in battle, i could get to the people who needed stimming as fast as possible. With CM Ranged Stims, I no longer have to worry about it. I just aim and fire...Fastball incoming!

I been both for a short while now. Got Master Doc pretty quick (but I had been a Beta Tester and pretty much knew exactly what I was doing to get there.) Getting all of CM other than crafting was pretty easy being a Master Doc, simply because Res packs and Enhance Ds give great XP (despite the nutty 80k XP cap). That crafting took a lot of grinding, though, so I just hit Master CM last week.

The rest of teh template now is just Novice Arti and Survey 1 so I have at least some hope of getting the resources I need, and you need a LOT with this template. So my combat, except for Supression Fire and Poisons, pretty much sucks.

Still fun to play, though.

Zarlor, That's my template exactly.

Do you have much trouble finding resources with just survey 1?

The CM/Doc combo is pretty good. You'll always be wanted in groups, and PVP can be a blast. (just don't forget to change your title to "Novice Marksman")

The real killer to master of doc and master of combat medic ... being out of skill points to be useful in any other way. What you "give" up primarily is the remotest possiblity of being a solo player. Of course by their nature docs are people persons anyway ... so who cares.

1) You see without scout ... you can't harvest your own animal organics

2) You see without artisan ... you can't survey/sample your own organics and inorganics

3) You see without any real weapons experience (anything outside of Marksman) you can kill more than gnorts and nuna's by yourself.

All I need is about 25 more skill points to be useful ... I wish (please please please) that I could have just 25 more skill points (275 instead of 250) it's not much just a token of good will .. LOL

Haven't decided if I'm going to swtich and to CM/Doc (still tka/doc), but getting novice artisan or scout is only a few credits. Just get novice artisan when the resources shift, and novice scout when your harvesters are set.
