how do u copy and paste the macros people post here into your ingame "new macro" thing

I'm pretty sure that you can't paste anything anywhere in the game. At least I've never been able to. If someone knows how to I would love to hear about it. I think your only option would be to put together an "alias" that would do the same thing. I am by no means an expert on these, but I put one together after finding a few good message board threads with the search function.

A couple of ways -

1) Remap the cut and paste commands (under the chat section of mappings)

2) Create an alias. You can create aliases directly in the alias.txt (or is it aliases.txt?) file in your SWG program directory. Then, you either call the alias via the command line or create a macro to call the alias.

I tend to use aliases for very long macros, since it's easier to copy and edit in notepad rather than in game. If you change an alias while in game, you can reload the alias file (or any other alias file of your choice if you want to maintain multiple alias files) with /load <filename> (for example, "/load aliases.txt").
