I made a set of buffs with the following:
ABEC 16 power, 23 charge
ACRDM 56 power
ASDS 72 power
avian
gas
The stats on the buffs came out to 32 charges, 910 power,89 med use.
Now I'm using the following:
ABEC 17 power, 23 charge
ACRDM 59 power
ASDS 72 power
Same avian
Same gas
Now my buffs are coming out 32 charge, 904 power, 89 med use.
Anyone else noticing something similar? Did something change? I'm about 80% sure I used the exact same herb in the ACRDM's, just changed to the new Class 4. The decay on the herb shouldn't matter anyway, should it?

Has your crafting tool decayed any between the two examples?
Some people say the tools begin to act screwy after decay sets in. I use a tool that sits in front of my station, never taking it with my character (I die a lot though lol).

wow, i just figured something out.
I have 2 herb meats with the following stats:
Herb 1) 918 OQ, 685 PE, 482 Decay
Herb 2) 928 OQ, 687 PE, 741 Decay. (a tad better quality)
BOTH herbs make an ACRDM with power of 59 using the new Class 4.
I used herb 1 with the old class 4 to make the firstbuffs mentioned above, that came out at Power 910.
I used herb 2 with the new class 4 to make the secondbuffs mentioned above, that came out at Power 904, and 2 of the 3 components had better stats than the components used to make the first buff stim. Still 6 total power less.
So, now, I used Herb 1 with the NEW Class 4, and everything else remaining constant for my second list of ingredients above and my power on the buff is 913!
Somehow, the lower stat herb makes a BETTER ACRDM. And ACRDM's of the same stat, made with different ingredients doesn't necessarily have the same end result. I just proved that.
I started the week of SWG release, and I'm still learning something every day!!
*edit* I just double checked, cuz i couldn't believe it myself. The ACRDMs I just ran the test on are made with the LOWER quality, LOWER PE. The do indeed make a better buff than the ACRDM made with the slightly higher stats, even though both are power 59.

No decay on the tools, they are perfect 15.0's have never left my med center.

Since your ACRDM went from 56 to 59 it is expected that you buff would go from 910 to 913.
As for the lower power buff my I ask just how many of them did you get like that? Often when you experiment you may get a great success according to the note you get but what you really got was a good power and an amazing duraiton. This can sometimes lower the power of the pack.

I would expect that Marrow1, but intially, when using 2 components with better end stats and same avian and same gas, why did buffs come out with total less power -910 to 904? The new class 4 was used to make a better acrdm, I would have expected it to go up, I didnt' realize I hadn't used the same herb to make the acrdm, because both made same old stat (56) acrdms with old Class 4.

I guess the point is, though, did you try to make another one using all of the better components? He is saying you may have had bad luck on the combine or experimentation causing one of the stats to go down (power) without you noticing because of the way the average works. So in short... try to make another schematic with the higher quality resouces and see if it is better this time.

thats how experimenting works, there will always be a little variability based on the success of each experiment attempt

You're impacting two attributes at the same time, as is the case with the enhancement pack, the game "rolls the dice" not once, but twice. It rolls them once for each attribute; in this case, once for power and once for duration. However, only 1 message is returned to you and that is an average of the two results. So, for example, perhaps the roll for power was a failure but the roll for duration was a great success. The average of these two might be a good success or just a plain success, but you're going to see your power drop because of the failure. The duration, however, will go up. That's where the anomaly lies - the fact that two things occurred and yet you only received one piece of feedback.
From Mcglone again sorry, easier than me typing it out though
So ie it will say amazing success, but the 2nd roll might just be a good success......
