Thread: Profession interaction

As a Master Doctor ONLY what professions do you rely upon to accomplish your everyday tasks? ( not counting people present to heal or buff ) Im looking more at crafting etc?

If you had a template to be completely self sufficient at Crafting for doc what would it look like?

Master Doctor + any elite combat profession will leave you enough points to take novice artisan/scout +1 box as needs suit you.


Most Docs rotate novice scout/artisan depending on resources spawns, not all but most do.


As for the combat profession, you will hear a variety of what's best.


Set up like this Doctors don't really need to rely on anyone but it does pay to know a Artisan with survey 4, makes things go faster. With novice scout you can getpretty good harvests with food and a decent Harvester Droid.

No fixed rule although im TKM / Mster Doc and scout with harvesting for avain and stuff.


I just love the moves and being up front.


Although not always good if ur knee deep in nasties and ur m8 drops 30m the other way....

So Artisan and Scout is all ya need to accomplish all your needs? No other profession has skills that you require at ANY given time?

You need components from CM to make area poison/disease cures, I believe.

If you are going to sell products to the public then you'll need a Merchant with a vendor.

You might need a Chef if you want to use Havla.

I have all of the above cultivated in friends and life is good.

Artisan is not needed for anything? ...say harvesting your own Inorganics? This is the kind of Profession interaction / self sufficient doc im speaking of. Anyone have anything else?

wel if you are looking for a crafting doc to be self sufficient then I guess the best template would be Master Doc / Artisan 0044 / Scout 3040 / Brawler? 0040. That would give all the abilities to harvest what you kill as an aprentice swordsman with basic maskcent and some terrain negotiation, survey for minerals and sell your wares with a vendor.


You should be able to handle all the avian and herb mobs with a good two handed sword (at 0040 brawler) and have some burst run and terrain negotiation in case you get in trouble. I'm not sure what would be better at that low of a level for a fighting prof but I'd think 2 handed would have to be the way to go if you only have room for one tree in a novice fighting prof. It has probably the best damage per defence ratio at that level...
