I have always wanted to be a doctor so now I am gonna do it. I am currently building a master swordsman so he can run missions and save money for becoming doctor.
My question is How much money roughly would I need all together to fund my whole path to doctor including Medium harvestors for resourses to make buff packs. Money for stims for grinding thru novice and doc, be clothes, a good droid, food, etc.
Thanks all

To become master doc and be able to buff, you need a droid, bivoli, stims, buffpacks, resources to become doc, BE clothes, and other meds.
Not sure how much money you do have, but if you had 1mil, you can become a master doc and buy a few sets of buffs to sell buffs to others to make money with. Use that money to buy more buffs, rinse and repeat.
However, if you want to MAKE buffs...that is much more difficult, not necessarily because of cost, but because it takes forever for the need resources to spawn, money for harvies, power, maintenance, factories, and power/maintenance for them too. You would need good crafting tools and stations to craft.
In the main FAQ that is stickied, it has a link to an AWESOME guide to making buffs, resources needed, experimenting, etc. Just for one main resource, avian meat, you need 40k for a full factory run (330 full sets of buffs or so) avian meat...which is sold for 100cpu on many servers (for good stuff on kett, it goes up to 200cpu). That alone will run you 4-6mil in avian meat. Herb meat you'll need something like 75k for a full run, it goes for 40-50cpu usually, or 3-4mil.
In summary to become a doc and be in a position to buff and heal others:
1mil
To begin crafting buffs and have the crafting business side of doc:
Up to 10mil
Note: 10mil can be expected if you buy all resources, but keep an eye on iootnega.com for newly spawning resources and it will reduce your costs significantly. Probably the biggest cost-saver is collecting your own meat, but that can be very difficult when collecting large ammounts. Hope this helps. Check the doc faq for all grinding questions.

That was very helpful, thank you. Another question. When buying buffpacks, what is a reasonable price/buff? Someone just told me they bought 150 buff pack for 750k. Is that average?

You can expect 20-28k per pack for one stat. I buy in crates of five, which sell for about 120k-180k each stat, if they are good quality (940's)

That is very server-specific. I sell mine at 100k for a full set of buffs (one for each stat, 896-power, 31uses). But you can buy them for 14k a pack, or 84k for a set. That's on kettemoor. Some servers, you might be able to expect 120-150k for a full set. Ask around would probably be best.

896 Wouldn't sell on eclipse. Doctors are too picky, and will pay high prices. He is correct though, it really depends on servers too. And the current resource shift.

and I think you'd need more money to start doc. If you were to buy the resources to do the crafting branch that alone could set you back 700k.
You need ALOT.... triple what you think it will cost and then start.

god where are u guys buying your buffs at? i am gonna sell mine for 10k per, with good clothes and bivoli you hit 2450 for 2hrs 54 mins.
this is how i went from novice to master
got a bunch of tat fiberplast and lok wheat, and macroed up some bio effect controllers. took about 3 hrs total once the bugs were out of my macro. it was boring but not bad.
for the med experience, there's ALWAYS a good dancer around that can burn action like crazy. i happened to find a dancer that would tell her pet to do tricks constantly. she'd burn through about 2500 action in like 5 seconds, no joke, so I just healed her up with some stim D's, which i found relatively cheap, got about 600 exp every 3 seconds, that adds up FAST. all and all i didn't have to do much moving around, barely had to pay for training, and spent about 4 days getting supplies for my crafting.

As mentioned earlier, mine are a bit lower power (hit for 2460, so they aren't that low), but I make every effort for longer duration. All of my buffs come out to 3.5hours...IMHO, making them worth every bit as much as 2500+ buffs that last only 3 hours.
