Thread: VIP Queue's do you agree with them.

I used to be a buffing master doc (since dropped to 0440 just to buff myself and do combat), and while I was sat buffing would often get /tell's saying will you buff me next for 50k or double amount or whatever. Personally I always used to reply "No, as it wouldnt be fair to those who have been waiting longer".
Recently on Chimeara I've noticed more and more doc's with VIP line 50k or 100k or whatever, personally I dont like it, just wondering what you think? Are you a doc that does this?

I don't think it's fair to those who have been waiting longer, either, but if you make it clear there's a chance of cuts for richer people - then I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

Nope, 50-100K is not worth the aggrevated customers.
PA members get bumped to the front though.

On Bria it's common to see "Skip Line" queue's, on Eclipse it's not.
I guess it's also a respect thing as well, but back when I used to public buff if someone offered 50k+ I would buff them ahead of everyone else. 50k is not hard to earn with 3hrs worth of buffs

i experimented what happens if i plop down WHEN there are docs near me WITH queues and offer buffs for 50k with a text like "Buffging for 50k (stats) for impatient ppl ONLY: waittime less than 4 min or 60% discount" (so if tehy wait a bit they get back 60% to make it my normal buffpriece for 20k)
i here and there get a short line.. i usually ALWAYS havla buff so these ppl are served usualyl within 1 min.. my longest wait was 3 min so far... of course i get bitched, but hey..
i even got my goal that suddenly plopped up 5 more docs. charging 5k per buff (lol) and i STILL had ppl who wanted my 50k buff (to calrify: the 5k docs had better buffs,too) just becuase tehy didnt wanted to wait...
and most ppl KNOW you can do mios in one buffsession anyway so 50k is nothing...
since i dont liek the "buff me next for x" all the tiem i decided to make a "for those ppl only" buffline..
it worked nicely..
until i got flamed to death lol.. and i was not even the expensivest, one guy was there and offered for 85k then .. and he got customers aswell
so whatever you say... there is a market... and parlty its your fault anyway... avian meat.. 500cpu.. 400cpu.... oh dear.. moainign abotu doc prioeces but in forum you alwys ofer high bo and tehy get taken...
same rule i guess..

Yes I offer line skips but I charge 100k and havla buff them so not much is interrupted. I dont think anything is wrong with it because most things on bria is money driven so why shouldnt buffing people be?

it's never happened. I'd probably still take the 100k anyway. We are there to make money and business is business.

hmm dont agree fully
"we" are here to help ppl.. nto to make money. (well of course we do money)
but at least MY "oath" is to serve the ppl.
i know iam stupid, i noticed in EVERY game i plased so far i was some sort of helper char, like doc,mage (with healspells) and other stuff, i neve was really a fighter char.. so i gues siam a truly helper..
always trying to be nice.. and alyways getting cursed at :-/

Also I'm sure you dont sit in the starport and buff because you enjoy it, if that were true you'd be charging cost price. Point is and I think you dont want to admit it is that you are there to make money, pure and simple.
If you were there to help people, you would be hanging out in a med centre healing wounds or be on dathomir rezzing people.
Even the most self righteous docs say they buff in starports to make money.

when i travel aroudn liek form coro to lok i almost ALYWAYS check the tat med center if someone needs healing.
i really do it becuase i like helpign ppl. money is extra of course

bad idea...i was waiting in a line for 20 mins and all of a sudden 3 peeps obvioulsly tipped that 100k or what have you and got an instant buff...after that i just game up waiting and logged off....
I hate the idea of VIP queue, they are just for the greedy docs who are only in this profession because they think its easy money..
