Thread: Dizzy Stun etc buff packs?

not sure if the devs read these threads or not, but that is my goal


I am a master swordsman, doctor and I fight like Richard Simmons in a gang fight and my biggest problem is getting dizzied then of course a quick KD so I was just wondering what would the problem be if you gave doctors dizzy buff packs and stun buff packs, etc? we already have flame blankets, disease and poison resists so why not others?


please dont flame me for this I don't even wanna deal with it



I payed 50 bucks for SWG but when I bought it I had no clue I was paying for the beta...

funny thing is I get charged 15 bucks a month and it's still in beta

I think the dev's thought on that is that there are already enough chances to increase your Resist vs. Dizzy, Stun and all the others by mixing professions...or at least that's what they would probably say. I think that's their reason for putting poison resist buffs in the game. Just a thought

there are some drinkthings that "enhance" your resists to knockdown i believe, since i dont use it i dont know for sure what it is..
i think its thaktatill or something like that

Thats the problem with swordsman, very little defense vs states. Great toughness and damage, just a pushover when it comes to dizzy/kd. You can get some foods/drinks that enhance your defenses. Look for SEA's as well.



  • Thaktillo will give great KD defense, but very filling (FOOD)

  • Ithorian Mist gives defense vs Dizzy, but it is a drink and with 2x brandy, doubt you can take it too much.

If we buff vs everything in the game, then where is the challenge. Yeah, it would be great to be in god mode, cant kd/dizzy/poison me, but it really gets old after a while. If you want those skills, then you have to drop something else. When I tank a giant krayt, I dont even bother to try to defend vs or cure dizzy, it gets me 90% of the time. It is fun, annoying, but fun. The other night, someone was next to me, a melee stacker, with some pistoleer i believe, and he didnt get KD'd, or dizzy the ENTIRE time. But then again, he cant cure for 2500+, rez, buff, cure area poisons...It all balances out...=-D




My siggie got nerfed.

Im also a master doctor and master swordsman and here is a macro I use a lot to get up from dizzy/kd


/ui action targetself; (i dont remember the exact ui command, but you get the idea)

/stand;

/healstate dizzy;


If you get knockdowned just spam this macro until you get up and cure your dizzy. Its not the same thing as a state buff but it does help doctors take advantage of our defensive skills and get past the lack of state defenses.
