Thread: max stats on buffpacks?
a friend of me gave me a nice present yesterday, some avian with near perfect stats, and 50 bottles of janta blood (of which 7 with 203 power).
Needless to say i had to constrain myself to not burstrun off to my lab for some crafting the sec i got the stuff.
Made an action and a health buffpack now, stats on em are 1111/12123, and these are made with the 203 blood.
So i started wondering....what are the max stats on buffs? I experimented these packs to 90%, and i dont have the cash/luck to get me those precious skilltapes, so i have to manage with 10 exp points.
Would i have been able to get to 100% if i had 12 exp points?

You can only get to 100% if you have 100% perfect resources. If you are playing with 950/950 reactive gas and 950/950/950 avian meat, you will only get to 95% whether you are a 10-point or a 12-point doc.
Due to loot, there is no actual known limit to buff pack strength. The cap on strength made without loot is around 975.
Still, cant wait to try these babies out on a dwb trip or some vette runs
Oh, and Imadoh, thanks for the tip about the max strength without loot components. Didnt know that, so now i know whats a good average to aim for on my regular packs.
Its back to the lab for me now for some more crafting. Been smuggler/random combat prof for most of my play time, and i have to say, never thought id love crafting this much
Thanks for the help and advice,

Well, i used all of my 10 points to experiment on effectiveness, my aim was to go for the best buffpack i could make. I didnt have any more empty boxes when i used my last points, so i guess thats a s far as my resources would let me go. All stats on the avian all around 950 or more , same with the reactive, but it had 800-something on PE (or DR, dont remember, doc is the first crafting prof i tried) so that probably limited the experimentation line.

It is cool how the crafting "gets ya". My first mastery was medic, looking to go CM way back last July/August. But it was so broke, i dropped CM after 3001 or something. Then came the holo grind, i put off all the crafting profs till last, and I blew thru most in a day or 2, but along the way, I stopped to make stuff to augment our normal master crafters, and I had a blast. When I finally got to doctor (and kept it ever since, best profession in the game), I thought I would be the "stim maker", because buffs were too complex, and we already had a grade-a buff crafter in the guild, and didnt want to steal her thunder. But.....crafting gets inside of ya if you let it, and sure enought, i started with a crate of 15 for each buffs....that grew into better components, ..can I get 2 more points next tiem???? Yep...
Its fun, a headache at times when you screw up the #'s...and misread your "foolproof" component labeling system...but I really enjoy how they did the whole experiment/crafting system in the game.
