...has defense mods, i noticed this a while back and today noticed master dancer has them too but the doctor doesnt have any, the medic doesnt have any. whats up with that? musicians dont need to entertain anyone on the battlefield, nor could they but yet they have the mods. then again i never played as a master musician so im not sure if those mods work or not.

should we docs get defense? should medics? yes im aware that we can get defense by taking fencer or something but thats not doc.

i have thought about that once.

they only have +7 ranged and melee def anyway. i think they were thrown that bone, becaue one of thier "jobs" is to entertain in battlefield conditions.

now us docs have one, possibly two ways of healing ourselvs without that much trouble.

so would itbe fair, that one of thestrongest,most non-broken proffesions wouldhave def mods also? i think not.

This is just my 2 cents on the subject:

The reason Dancer and Musician get the defensive bonuses might be to encourage players who would otherwise usually play a combat role to take on a support role, as well - beyond medic/doc. Entertainers can't actively heal in battle, only before or after - and their abilities don't help directly in a fight - so as a result,you get a little bonus to (yeah right lol) help you stay alive and do your part after the battle.

That's always been my theory, least.

Entertainers' skills won't actively help you in the middle of a battle, but their defense bonus might make you more inclined to learn the profession(s) instead of just doing combat. Medics/Docs can heal Health and Action when they need it, and if they got a defensive bonus as well - well, that'd bea little imbalanced IMHO.
