Thread: About the macro problem and some ideas to fix it.

My ideas are usually far and very few but I think this time I have something good to say.

I am not a dancer/musician or doc. But if they screw this up I will miss this game.


Option to help the game and ideas to put in if they remove macros.


1. Make a system similar that will stop a person from reapeting the same thing over and over. Make a standard timer for all channels. This will cut on afk spam.


2. The bazzar, this is a tool that is not used by anyone. Here is an idea make the Bazzar universal. Amerchant puts an item for sale on the vendor in his house. This items shows up on the bazzar and can be bought from anywhere in the galaxy the buyer then only has to go to the vendor to pick it up. The buyer recives an email with the merchants vendor. Now, why wouldI need to spam about my vendor all day when my stuff shows up everywhere and anyone can buy it? Also make the bazzar more useful like the bazzar from EQ. Allow us to search for item by type, creator, price.


3. Allow dancer and musicians to make and sell " holobuffs ", these buffs should be just as good as watching a dancer live. Creation of the schematic should go as follows. Part of the experimentation should be from doing the buff and part should need resources. These should not be hard to get or hard to come by the resources should be basic but still require good resources to affect the buff. With this in mind the buff's should now have a bigger variety and be as effective as health and action buffs. Dancers and Musicians will still have a need but players wont have to be stuck static on the screen playing a class that is totaly useless and boring. Make the dancer and musician classes a partial crafter class will create a more functional way to have them around and not affect the game play for the rest of the player base. SOE made has created a need for dancers and musician and doctors. Now if me and a huge player base that plays at 2:30 am or around 9am when most people are at work and we can't get buff of any kind around this will affect the way we play the game and utimately people will leave. Also by dancer and musicians making this " holobuff" does not mean a anyone can use it. They would still need a player Doc/Dancer/Musician to apply or some type of NPC that will do it for 3 times the cost making a real player the first choice but if that real player is not around you still have a choice.


4. Please don't make NPC dancer/musicians or doctors have to perform the buffs on some crap timer that takes 10 times longer. Make it so that the time is part of the experimentation on the crafting proccess of the " holobuffs". The game is already very time consuming as is. I have asked many many people and I get the same answer that it takes the average player about 30minutes -1 hour just to get set up before they can go hunt. Now with out afk buffers this is going to take even longer. Most poeple don't have this much time to play.


IF you agree of disagree please post, I have a strong feeling this change might be very hard for alot of player and their style of playing.
