Without being sure what you mean, you seem to do the right things. I imagine what you are trying to do is to establish yourself as a crafting doc, advertising your wares and services? One thing you have to remember is that it will take time. It will take a lot of time and effort to establish a new business. Depending on your server and neighbourhood (obviously), I'd say it takes maybe 1-3 months to start getting regulars and earning yourself a name.

You should also check out the Merchant profession forums for general ideas and tips on how to establish your busniess in the SWG economy.

This one may be obvious, but I would find the highest density sales location (like a mall) and seek out the owner. If you have good negotiation skills, they may let you place a vendor in their mall. Typically, this will get you on the map the fastest as these places typically have the highest traffic. Also, consider placing the same type of vendor in multiple places if you can crank out enough product. These are just a couple of thoughts.

The simplest (and most time/cost-effective) way I have found is to simply setup a little macro that does something like this:

/shout Ojes' Med Vendors now carry buffpacks! Located just 800meters from Theed starport on Naboo at neg5219 3419. Current stock are MU89/878/2:38/30ch. Singles and 5-pack crates available.

Please doNOT loop it and spam outside the starport. I really don't like that kind of thing. I simply put that on my toolbar and hit the key everytime I go through any starport in my normal course of travels.

Follow that up with a customer list and mass emails to that distribution when you restock and you will foster repeat business.

Good luck with your business plan...

while on Flurry, don't visit Ojes Yobe's Liquidation Vendors just 800M from Theed starport on Naboo (neg5219 3419) - cause they ain't there anymore! They are now exclusively located in Mos Athens Mall

If you ask me LOCATION means everything here. Find a good spot near one of the main cities (I prefer eitherTheed or Coronet), advertise a bit in your trade forums to let people know you're out there and in times of somewhat low sales because of JtL, I'd also suggest you run a little macro a couple hours a day in the Auction Channel advertising your wares.

But above all, choose a location that is nearthe Starport of one of the major cities.

Nothing worth doing is completed in our lifetime,
Therefore, we are saved by hope.
Nothing true or beautiful or good makes complete sense in any immediate context of history;
Therefore, we are saved by faith.
Nothing we do, however virtuous, can be accomplished alone.
Therefore, we are saved by love.
No virtuous act is quite a virtuous from the standpoint of our friend or foe as from our own;
Therefore, we are saved by the final form of love which is forgiveness.

I'd have to agree, location is everything. I setup my shop south of Coronet and always harped on where it was located.

Yes, I did send out my email as an ad to all the coronet doctors. It would say something along the lines of "Hey, saw you buffing, want to tell you about my shop. I have this, this, and this. Look foward to doing biz w/ u." I think that worked incredibly well. I'd say 20% of the people I sent emails to I got biz from, but whats even better is that 90% of that 20% kept coming back. Even though ppl don't like it, spamming in starports does work contrary to popular belief. I spammed as well and noticed a difference in sales.

Hope this helps.

I'm always looking for vendors with decent buffpacks. It seems that everytime I got to buy more all the vendors I have waypoints for are either gone or out of stock.

I'd approach some of the doctors who are always buffing outside the starports and let them know about your vendors - some may want to place standing orders.

Also, if you spend some time buffing in a high traffic place, you'll probably get lots of other doctors asking where you get your buffs - I get asked constantly when I'm outside Coronet's starport buffing.

Good Luck.
