Thread: do u have to be a 12 point doc to make good buffs?

ok guys im new to doc and i have had alot of ppl tell me that i need to be a 12 point doc to make good buffs.
im talking 2300 for 3h 30m is this true? if not can u tell me what i need to do to make some deceant buffs plz.

So long as you have nothing less than a great success, 10 points is enough to max your buff strength. What the 11th and 12th points allow is improving OTHER areas, like med use and charges, and making better ABECs (higher power) thereby making your buffs better THAT way.

You already have the list of resources .. they are in your datapad.

If you're looking for answers as too what stats you should look for in those resources you might as well check the FAQ. But if what you're looking for the stats on the current spawns in your server best option I know of it (even though it's hardly updated these days) is the current resources list on http://www.swgcraft.com/currentresources.php target=_blank>swgcraft.com.

ok done the clicky got the list, but i cant find tat fiber plast(edoge),nabooian dome oats(lobeu),or corellian steel(ditanium) now what? do i go to the next best thing? which all sux by the way.

resources shift around grab up a few of each harvestor type that way when a good spawn does come up you can jump on it. But yeah if you cant find anything decent gotta go with whats spawning. Check out the resource vendors on your server can usually find something decent.

I can't speak for all the Galaxies, but there are usually some vendors that specialize in resources for docs. Try looking for those on the planetary map.
The hardest thing to come by is avian meat so keep an eye out for any you can find with high OQ and PE.
The OQ and PE of your avian meat and the OQ of your reactive gas are going to be the main factors determining the power of your buffs.

What server are you on? You can usually get a leg up from an established doctor on your server if you are polite about it and don't mind reimbursing for some of his costs. I know I do it all the time. Mind you, I don't give up my best resources, but I have set a number of people up with materials to make 840power packs at a flat 3cpu rate...

Just my $0.02
The place where 12pts really helps is in the ABEC. Unless you have really killer resources you should be able to max all other components. The other place it helps is getting that 90mu after maxing really good avian/gas sometimes.
