Thread: Is there really a market for Med Supplies?
I know there is a small one for Stim B's but is it really worth it to start up a business for Med supplies in general?
For those of you that have started a business. What are the items most commonly sought?
I cannot keep Stim Cs on the bazaar. They start selling nearly as I start to run off. They're not even special ones - usually the ones I don't want to use that I made while getting crafting xp. I make crates of Stim Bs and Stim Cs for some of my guildies. Now - I do make special order crates. Although I have only done this a few times - it seems quite profitable.
My biggest problem is deciding on a price. I am constantly being told that I am selling too low. For example: Crate(50) of Stim Cs 400/29 for 40k. I have no idea is this is inline or off the wall compared to others.
I am curious about who actually uses Stim D and Es. I am just starting up the doctors tree and can make Ds but really do not find a need to ever use them. In combat I find that Cs do a very good job keeping people alive and only use Ds to heal hurt pets. The Cs I make heal around 800 points of damage, the Ds around 1100 to 1200 damage, so why would I ever use a D or an E Stim except on a pet?
I only have health and action enhancer 1 which adds between 50 to 100 points to those stacks so I am not sure how much a health or action C would add, but a C is plenty enough to heal anyone even with my small enhancer on them. Do enhancer Cs add that enough points to someone's action pool that I would need to use a D or an E?
Please let me know. Thanks.
I use D's almost exclusively, and that's just for a small group that I often play with of just myself, a smuggler and a Ranger/CH (usually with two small or medium pets out, she doesn't have any Rancors). Of course I'm alsoa Master Doc and I buff them and the pets as well. For most besties a D will work well enough to get a full heal in and give me time to ge to the next person or pet (pets often push mobs back and our Ranger/CH often has to try to call them back off the mob so keep them from getting too far away.)
We fought a Krayt Dragon last night with that combo. It took forwever and we did well, but I definitely wishing I had had some Stim Es on me then. The Ds were good, but there were a few times where it was a close call.
lol dunno know about u but a sell a ton of stims...
Bs Cs (basic and lower use) lower use Ds
Wound Bs and Cs.
Ranged stims
components...actually my CM components are getting pretty popular
Wow. That would explain why you would need an E. I really need to grind that tree to make better enchancers.
Thanks for the info.
There is DEFINITELY a market for meds.I think the hardest part for a supplier though is advertising. If you just want to make a few credits on the side, than the bazaar is the easiest way to go. If you really want to concentrate on a pharmaceutical business (as I have) then you have GOT to get your name in circulation. if you can provide a good product at a good price, you'll be surprised the kind of clientelle you can build with a little advertising and word-of-mouth. In just a few weeks, I have developed a steady stream of repeat customers that actually travel to Naboo so that they can buy from my shop.
To begin, find a niche that you are comfortable with. Stim B's are a good place to start, but there is more to it than that. You could specialize in making advanced subcomponents to supply others who make stims. You could specialize in very high quality, high priceStim's using advanced components. You could specialize in good quality, low price stims. You could specialize in good wound pack B's. You could market them yourself or broker them through a merchant. Find a niche and build from there. You may quickly find yourself overwhelmed!!!
if u are starting out give out free samples or hold really cheap specials to get people to know about how good ur stims are...drawback u better than good stims or people will know how poor your stims are lol
