Thread: Enhancement Med Use from Crates Problem (Dev Response) 11/18/2003
Just got word on this one.
The Devs are aware of this issue and that it is a high priority for us and they are looking into it. No timeframe can be given at this time, but they will see what they can do.
(Edit: Modified wording of Dev statement, added "Dev Response" to Title of post, added date to title.)
(Edit: I'm unfloating this thread since it is now part of the Issues Lists. Feel free to vote for this issue if you wish. It will be in the Bugs thread as a new Issue, #27,Med Use on Enhances from Crates Bug+.)

Are they looking into the crates issue only? The crates are a problem, but the bigger problem is that the medicine use on these things was randomly raised. Did they intend to do that?
Thanks.

Zarlor, I'm glad you got a response but I should think that the dev's would have made an official statement for all of us to read on something that affects so many people playing the game.
Also, I'm not satisfied with "they are looking into it. No timeframe can be given at this time, but they will see what they can do. "
Does this mean we sit here all quiet and meek and wait what, a week, a month, 6 months?.
From what I have seen, unless people keep at them letting them know this change is unacceptable, they will just shove the issue to the side and work on issues that people DO keep hammering them about.
They are pretty much looking into the entire issue surrounding this, not just crates.
Whether or not some of you find the answer "acceptable" it's really all we can reasonably expect to get. THe reason is that early on they would try to give us some guesstimates on when some things would get done. Players would take that not as an estimate, but as a "done by no later than the earliers time mentioned." They were taken as promises and the Devs were roasted on these forums for breaking promises they never really made.
So in effect we screwed outselves out of ever being able to get exact dates and times. They realize it's a high priority for us and they have many top priority fixes they are looking at and trying to fix. All I will say about the issue any further is that I seriously, serioulsy doubt we will have to wait for more than a few weeks on the matter (depending on how difficult it is to nail down exactly what is happening with this.) That's my personal guess, though. For all I know it could be fixed in tomorrow's hotfix or it may not get fixed until after the next publish. I can't see it taking an longer than that, though. But again that's just my personal take and I'm not a Dev. (I don;t even play one on TV.)
As for "official response" this issue appears to be hot and heavy and affecting primarily Doctors. WHen it comes to official communication line to the Devs, I am the "official" line. Personally i would prefer they do all the posting here directly as well, but that's just not how they have things set up. Instead they respond to the correspondents who have to ask permission for what they can post. What I've posted is what I had offical word to respond with. It's as official as it comes and is stickied into the top trheads on the forum of the profession this issue primarily affects.
im GLAD your got a reply from the Dev's Zarlor thanks for your efforts and keep up the Excelent work
I realy hope the Dev's fix this ASAP .... i havent realy even played since the patch ..... to me this is the biggest BS nerf/bug/whatever you want to call it .... that ive ever seen .... im realy suprized they wouldnt make it there #1 priority .... anwyays Keeping my fingers crossed.
I also haven't played since I realized I couldn't buff anymore. Both of my accounts are doctors, though not master because I hate crafting. This is just absurd.
Hmm, I believe the idea was moving the rez ability to Master Doc.. not the ability to use Enhance D's! I hope that 94 med use is not their idea of a good adjustment.
