is it just me or are crafting stations all borked as of now?
i havea 42+ station and i seem to experience a lot more failures and critical failures with it when experimenting, as compared to my droid.
i knowenhance packs for some reason suffer a high rate of experimentation failures, but this just makes production of them a nightmare
any official word on this?

I dont think anyone has ever received an official response from SOE on this, but...
Recently I was rolled back and lost all of CM and most of doc, so I had to grind some medical crafting xp. I made ABECs in a few different places and got: about 30% critical failure rate standing next to my 40something% crafting station. Using a higher quality crafting tool (not station) compared to my negative functionality crafting ones got me an additional bunch of critical fails. Using nothing but the low quality tools far away from the station got me maybe 10% critical failures total.
Is it just me or do they seem to be working the opposite way of how they are supposed to?

There was some testing that I believe was done on the Artisan forums that showed that having a negative rated crafting tool was better than using a postive rated one. (This is all in our Experimentation Issue, BTW.) They seemed to suggest that the stations were working correctly, but I'm not convinced of that. Droid crafters doen't seem to have a rating, even though the module can be experimented on when crated by a DE, yet I find my Droids subectively seem to work a lot better as a crafter than my +40-something station. I've never done any real testing on this, though.
